STL is going to be pretty damn good again this year up front.

No brainer re-signing.

wonder what the money is... good re-signing though!

Blues are really solid defensively and if they get some more help on 'O' then they'll be a real cup condender

I am thinking that Burrows is going to demand the same type of money as Oshie.

Burrows will be a UFA so I imagine he'll want more than that. I'd expect somebody to offer Burrows $5 million per season if Gillis can't re-sign him.

on topic: good signing for Blues, keeping their young core

off topic: I thought it's well-established that Burrows is a 3rd liner, 2nd liner at best... 5m for Burrows? really? I can't see him signing for more than 3-3.5 tbh

I agree with you one Burrows worth, based on his play. But when a quality player hits free agency it's more about how badly a team wants a player. Look how much Montreal gave Erik Cole last year, I'd much rather have Burrow than him.

Great deal for both parties. The NHL needs a few more commonsense contracts like that before the whole league implodes.

I like the signing too and it's pretty reasonable.

I don't see how Burrows gets any less than 4 on a 4-5 year deal.

I'd consider 4m another hefty discount.
