This could be in regards to Phoenix but it could also be in regards to Lu and the Nucks. What if MG has a deal ready to go if Doan signs? If so, the arguments about MG being vulnerable and cap room for Doan are gone. Maybe they advised Doan of this and that is why he chose to meet with management when he originally wasn't going to? If we get Doan this is what our top six would look like: Sedin - Sedin - Burrows/Doan Booth - Kesler - Doan/Burrows No need to improve. Bottom six: Higgins - Malhotra - Hansen Pinizzotto - Lapierre - Kassian Bottom six could use a tiny bit of tweaking, but it should get the job done. If I was MG if we got Doan, I would focus on improving our defense and/or prospect pool in the Luongo trade. So something like this: To Vancouver: Shawn Matthias + Alex Petrovic and/or Nick Bjugstad + 2013 1st To Florida: Roberto Luongo + Mason Raymond Luongo = Matthias & 1st Raymond = Bjugstad/Petrovic Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
