I assume that deal would for sure have to include Luongo , Schroeder has not developed in to a NHL player yet and is showing why his draft value dropped and was available for the Canucks to take

Well, I certainly would not give up Lou, Schroeder and a 2nd....
Orland Kurtenbach and Dennis Kearns had just been torched 8-1 by the Habs, but they still took time to come out to meet us, some fellow BC boys who were playing hockey in Montreal. THAT"S what being a Canuck is!

Schroeder would be far more suited to play in the SE at the moment. Although that division is getting a bit beefier as of late.

If we want Bjugstad really badly, we'll need more than Luongo to get him.

My Take: Five reasons why the Panthers should trade for Luongo
by Alexander Calloway on Jul 28, 2012 7:47 PM EDT in Florida Panthers

It's pretty sad how many Canucks fans have treated Lu but Florida would welcome him as they consider him a hall of fame goalie (like the article says).
Florida knows they are getting an elite goalie. Bjustad, Gudbranson or Huberdeau have to be coming back. Canucks don't need another 2nd tier player taking up substantial cap. They need young elite talent to develop.
Lu, 2nd
For
Huberdeau (Gudbranson as a 2nd choice).

Bjustad, 1st
For
Lu, 3rd

Latest on the Panthers/Luongo Saga

Posted Image

Okay so here's the latest after speaking to a source last night.

The Panthers have agreed to move Nick Bjugstad to the Canucks IF they include Schroeder and a 2nd. Deathly afraid of losing any depth, HOWEVER a Luongo deal looks more and more unlikely as the days go by as Gillis hasn't even spoken to Luongo or his agent recently and a few teams that were interested (Chicago, NY Islanders, and believe it or not Ottawa) have dropped negotiations with Gillis because they're tired of waiting on Gillis and his high asking price. Gillis wants whoever takes Luongo to absorb more cap in Ballard.

Further with the Panthers, after losing out on Wellwood they feel 100% confident moving forward with Huberdeau in the lineup next season.

Luongo, Ballard, Schroeder
for
Bjugstad, Campbell

sounds like a load of b.s

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

http://bleacherrepor...d-top-prospects

combine results.  Ehlers 5'11 162 lbs of solid rock.

That Luongo, Schroeder and a 2nd proposal I don't like at all.
Would Gillis honestly move 2 of his 4 1st Round picks since he's been the Canucks GM?

If that were to be what the Canucks threw in, they'd have to add at least a first and another roster player such as Goc, even then, they may have to add a 3rd/4th

Something like:

Luongo
Schroeder
2nd

For

Bjustad
Goc
1st
4th

I think that would be great considering the cap relief as well

Take out the 4th and add Ellerby or Petrovic, would also take Matthias over Goc.

Lu
Schroeder
2nd

for

Bjugstad
Matthias
Ellerby
1st

Makes us younger and a heck of alot bigger.

Tallon would have to go Full-Retard to take this deal.

I think if he is serious about winning a cup now than it is very possible.

How does Nick Bjugstad help us win the Cup "now". He's already stated that he's playing another year in college.

This would be a trade for the Canucks' future, not present.

I wonder if Lu would waive to head back to Long Island. They are in serious need of a consistent high level goaltender. Nabokov is on a 1 year as a 37 year old, DiPietro is horribly injury-prone and sub-par, and then they a bunch of young guys who are either not good enough for a while or will never be good enough to play in the NHL.

NYI is also another young and up-and-coming team needing to reach cap-floor with loaded young forwards that would be very ideal for the Canucks. Anyone think it's a possibility Lu wants to be a little closer to Montreal?

I doubt that Lou would be interested in going to Long Island, but just for argument's sake, which forwards do you like? There really isn't too much there that jumps out at me...

...maybe Ryan Strome? Of course, Reinhart would be great, but I don't think the Isles would deal him. Maybe BC boy, Ty Wishart?

Neiderreter, Strome, Okposo, Donovan are guys I like. Reinhart would be awesome but ya I think he's untouchable. Even bringing in Nabokov as a backup/1B goalie would be nice. If I could try to make a proposal...

To Isles:
Luongo
Raymond

To Van:
Neiderreter
Nabokov

Why does a team that has an abundance of centers want schroeder, an under size, under skill, un-ready center when they have weise, heuberdou(sp?), goc, matthias, bjugstad, and more that are all WAY better than schroeder and can play other than in the top 6 only.

Canucks get a top prospect for to build around after the Sedins are older, and a mid-high 1st round pick.

Solid proposal^. NYI doesn't give up any major part of their current roster, and get an elite goalie in Luongo and we shore up our prospect pool with Strome and another potential top 15-top 10 pick.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

I think lu gets us one elite prospect. If one comes up I hope we take it. Eff our roster. Clear cap, bank on Cory, and get someone who can maybe contribute a little bit now and possibly more later. Look at Henrique for the devs. Young guys can chip in. We can get help now via cap space opening up.

This is baseless jabber, how does this belong in this form.

John Tavares??? Like wow!!!
