Said it earlier and I'll say it again:

Booth, Ballard, Raymond, Sauve, 1st would've been a better deal tbh.

We heard you the first time, and your proposed deal is a joke.

brutal trade for Columbus. Weren't the Jackets offered more? Howson needs to be fired fast. People on CDC could do better.

Damn ... NY got Richards last year and Nash this year. With all that talent, they can coast and still pull out some wins. Maybe Tortorella's won't have to swear and yell at his team for all 82 games.

Dubinsky and Anisimov will both likely be availabe via trade in the near future.

Columbus needs a complete re-boot at this point.

If Dubinsky is the best player going back to CBJ in this deal, then Howson needs to be gone. Move this franchise to Quebec, give them a loser

But that was the best part. Boy am I ever going to miss him going absolutely ape shizzle on Anisimov day in and day out. No more sniper

Nope

Maybe I spoke a little prematurely. I guess they got some useful parts back but I would have thought that Rick Nash would have brought back a higher calibre player than those guys. They really need an impact player on that team.

LOL Ranger fans: "We don't want you!"

Rangers can't score goals. End up losing to the Devils. Rangers THEN acquire Nash. "We really need you!"

Well, Howson fails yet again. Dubinsky is the best player in that trade, and though Anisimov is a decent player and Erixon a good prospect, that 1st rounder's going to be pretty low. Ripped off.

Now we'll see if Nash finally puts up the production people said he would playing with elite players.

Nash-Richards-Gaborik

One hell of a top line.

I wonder what the Wings offer was a few weeks ago, it was supposed to be huge.

Franzen and Filpulla were the rumoured center piece to the deal.

Franzen is a legit 1st line LW/RW

Filpulla can definitely fill a 1st line C role. He is a great young center.

Dubinsky was playing 3rd line last year in NY, he is not in any way a 1st line talent. He's a grinder, with decent hands. Anisimov at this point isn't even close to Johan Franzen and I don't see him ever reaching the mule's level or getting past the 2nd line.

Good Job Howson.

I suppose he should have been worth more, but the limited market that was out there on him, was only going to pay this.

They have a young team with some decent pieces to build a future with...from the defence outwards, so, with a good couple of drafts they could be a pretty good team in a bit.

They've also got a pretty decent goal-tender coming with along in Oscar Dansk.

I don't see the future as being bleak at all in CLB.

No way Nikitin is getting any less than 2nd pairing minutes, he scored half a point a game last season and averaged 23+ minutes of icetime. Defense is actually the least of CLB's concerns.

It should be something like:

Dubinsky - Brassard - Umberger
Anisimov - Johansen - Prospal
Foligno - Letustu - Dorsett
Atkinson - MacKenzie - Boll

Wis - Tyutin
Nikitin - Johnson
Bottom pairing could be any combination of Aucoin, Savard, Moore, Murray, or Erixon

He would only sign with NY? I don't blame him for wanting to leave cow town  ..... Even now the Jackets are still the sexier team. But it sucks having to relocate frequently.
