MistuhMan
Not sure if this is the right place, as I did see some sort of an injury thread a while ago... but TSN just reported that Gillis claims Kesler is healing well (shoulder surgery) and is possible to start in season opener. SOB for MVP
I thought he was going to miss at least a couple months? No?
RUPERTKBD
Seems pretty unlikely to me.
MistuhMan
That's what was projected I believe, I thought that it was at least a month after the season opener. Good news?

DeNiro
Well if the season starts late I don't see why not. I hope they learned their lesson from last season though. Give him time to be 100% and build his strenght back up. We don't need Kesler at 75% again.
JordanEberle
Gillis was on air with a ton of listeners including potentially other teams. There is no way he announces one of our star forwards is anything except on or ahead of schedule. I would take this information with a grain of salt and imagine we won't see him for the first couple weeks of the season as we originally expected. We can't afford to make the same mistake with him as last season by bringing him back to early. (Speculative)

Shoreline74
I'd much rather Kesler rest and come back in beast mode rather than come back not fully recovered only to have more injuries and less points.
canucks.brad
no. he better not rush back. if we are in for another lacklustre because kesler thinks he can come back early...
The Brahma Bull
KEEP KESLER OFF OF THE frackIING ICE!!!!!!!!!! Our medical staff makes me cringe.
Jai604
I sure hope not. Kesler needs to heal, for crying out loud. DAMN YOU KES, HEAL.
DeNiro
I sometimes think this team is putting too much focus on winning in the regular season and not enough on winning in the playoffs. President's trophies are nice, but fans in this town want a cup. Not having Kesler ready for the beginning of the season isn't the end of the world. Of course he's going to try and be ahead of schedule, just make sure that he actually is.
Joel Heyman
Season opener 2013-14 more likely at the rate of the CBA negotiations going on.
Raiun
I have to wonder if Kesler's poor season last year was due to him coming back too early, or this injury that he only got looked at after the playoffs. Probably some kind of combination of both reasons, plus no offseason. Not liking the fact that he misses this offseason too.. that's a lot of training time missed over the last couple of years. Look for him to be underperforming again this season regardless of when he comes back, I think.

The Sedin's 6th Sense
Seems that whenever our players get injured, they are healing faster than expected. Not that it's a bad thing, but I want Kes to take extra tone to make sure he is actually 100%
CanuckCup1316
He can come back when ever he wants as long as I dont hear more excuses at the end of next season about his injury holding him back.
