ken kaniff
to van: clemmensen, howden, trocheck, 2013 1st to fla: luongo, sauve, raymond i think its fair for both teams. fla gets an allstar goalie, a good big B+ level d prospect and a speedy winger who can put up 40+ points(he has) and can play the pk and pp van gets a backup goalie, a good A level prospect(howden) a B+ level prospect(trocheck) and a 1st round pick fla doesnt loose a whole lot from there team or prospect pool and they get a good return, i think they would do this deal line up My Custom Lineup FORWARDS Daniel Sedin ($6.100m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Alexandre Burrows ($2.000m) David Booth ($4.250m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.000m) / Zack Kassian ($0.870m) Chris Higgins ($1.900m) / Manny Malhotra ($2.500m) / Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) Aaron Volpatti ($0.600m) / Maxim Lapierre ($1.000m) / Dale Weise ($0.666m) Andrew Ebbett ($0.600m) / Steve Pinizzotto ($0.600m) DEFENSEMEN Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) / Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) Jason Garrison ($4.600m) / Alexander Edler ($3.250m) Keith Ballard ($4.200m) / Chris Tanev ($0.900m) Andrew Alberts ($1.225m) / Derek Joslin ($0.700m) GOALTENDERS Cory Schneider ($4.000m) Scott Clemmensen ($1.200m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $70,200,000; CAP PAYROLL: $62,710,500; BONUSES: $0 CAP SPACE (24-man roster): $7,489,500 *while kesler is out injured, either schroeder or howden can compete for a job replacing him ** i think kassian needs top 6 min if he is ever to develop into the powerforward we need him to be. plus i think he can realy compliment that line as a big banger and make it harder to play against. ***if either schroeder or howden impress at the 2nd line center possition they can take over the 3rd line center and manny can drop down to tak the 4th line center spot. lappy shifts to the wing and were good free agency will be a who;e lot better next year so we should hold off signing FA and just let the prospects fill our needs(they can turn out to be better than any FA we acquire anyways) edit: howden is a good prospect but would you rather have drew shore instead. he is better but i dont know if florida would part with him lineup idea #2 FORWARDS Daniel Sedin ($6.100m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Alexandre Burrows ($2.000m) David Booth ($4.250m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.000m) / Zack Kassian ($0.870m) Chris Higgins ($1.900m) / Jordan Schroeder ($1.025m) / Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) Maxim Lapierre ($1.000m) / Manny Malhotra ($2.500m) / Dale Weise ($0.666m) Aaron Volpatti ($0.600m) / Andrew Ebbett ($0.600m) / DEFENSEMEN Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) / Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) Jason Garrison ($4.600m) / Alexander Edler ($3.250m) Keith Ballard ($4.200m) / Chris Tanev ($0.900m) Andrew Alberts ($1.225m) / Derek Joslin ($0.700m) GOALTENDERS Cory Schneider ($4.000m) Scott Clemmensen ($1.200m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $70,200,000; CAP PAYROLL: $63,135,500; BONUSES: $125,000 CAP SPACE (24-man roster): $7,064,
our time is now
That's good and we got money to resign elder and burrows for next year
Hugemanskost
I love this proposal, Ken... Especially the part where we use our youth / prospects to fill needs.
logic
We get destroyed.. Luongo alone is worth that. PS Howden is not a A prospect. B- at best.
Jägermeister
Trochek isn't that valuable, and while Howden is good, I don't think he's an A level prospect, he'll probably be a 3rd line NHLer. We could get better from them.
Smashian Kassian
I think we need a roster player in the deal, we can't go into the season with the same group upfront and even if that means just getting one player. And yeah I don't think Howden is and A level prospect, actually maybe.. I would say A/B or B+. I would like getting one prospect in the deal though. Ossi Vaananen
Well you opened my eyes to Trocheck, and I though I knew the entire Florida system by now. I'd like to see a younger Canucks line up as well, I think guys like Jensen and Kassian should be given a shot with some serious minutes. I wouldn't risk too much youth on the blue line. Lack could very well be our back up this year and I hope he is.
