Seems Twitter "insiders" are claiming that Bernier is going to the Leafs for a 2nd and Matt Frattin.

https://twitter.com/...956248191070208

Personally? I don't believe that it's a "done deal" but reports from actual sources have been claiming lately that the Kings did want Frattin+ for Bernier, so who knows.

Just fun to discuss, I guess. :P

lol I know every other tweet only mentions the leafs and then Eklund comes in and randomly adds Columbus into it. If this is indeed true and Bernier is going to Toronto, no more Luongo to Toronto that's for sure. The only option for Luongo then is Florida.

Don't see a luongo trade happening now. FLA would have an advantage in negotiations + Reports out of FLA that they haven't talked to us in weeks.

Let's see how this Luongo - Schneider tandem works out...again.

and that does not bode well for a Luongo trade obviously. I think MG needs to pull the trigger before Bernier is dealt to utilize any leverage he has.

Same lol.....I was all like "Oh no Burke, you're putting the team over the top with that move" until I realized it was the goalie, but after finding out, I still have that same thought in mind

makes no senses Leafs have young goalies but they don't have a proven and solid #1 and Bernier isn't that

if bernier goes to TO...i dont see the luongo trade happening. i dont see us getting full value back for luongo if the only destination is FLA or even Chicago. They will know Gillis is trying to unload luongo.

so...are we in for another Luongo-Schneider tandem...great...
Schneider: 50 games
Luongo: 32 games

Watch Bowness somehow mess up Tampa Bay's already amazing 2 powerplay units...he'll probably tell Stamkos to do drop passes from centre ice, take him out from the faceoff dot, and place him infront of the goalie

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

http://bleacherrepor...d-top-prospects

combine results.  Ehlers 5'11 162 lbs of solid rock.

Luongo being traded is dependent on so many other deals happening or not happening in time.

The Doan show, Bernier, etc.

I for one would not be surprised to see Luongo in a `Nucks uniform come the beginning of the season.

“Since the beginning of recorded history, which is defined by the invention of writing by the Sumerians around 6,000 years ago, historians have cataloged over 3700 supernatural beings, of which 2870 can be considered deities.

So next time someone tells me they believe in God, I’ll say “Oh which one? Zeus? Hades? Jupiter? Mars? Odin? Thor? Krishna? Vishnu? Ra?…” If they say “Just God. I only believe in the one God,”

I’ll point out that they are nearly as atheistic as me.I don’t believe in 2,870 gods, and they don’t believe in 2,869.”

Bernier isn't close to being a starter, so i think he's pretty overrated. If leafs get him, they will probably ruin his development and therefore also ruin his career as a potential starter.

@DarrenDreger: Ok...I'll weigh in from Sask on speculation Leafs are closing in on Bernier deal. Burke says they're not even talking with LA. As you were.

If this were to happen, I don't necessarily believe the only two remaining destinations for Luongo would be Chicago or Florida; perhaps on his list they are, but that's only for now.

Obviously Luongo's trade value goes down if it comes down to Chicago and Florida, but Gillis has stated that it is possible to start the season with both goalies, which is very possible at this point. Unless Lu expands his list, he will have to wait until the trade deadline to go to either Florida or Chicago, thus driving his price up.

Again, this all depends on whether or not the Leafs actually get Bernier.

Can you imagine drowning AT a KK Rev concert?

i'm pretty sure that's how zombies are born.
