Pasific Coluseum
Everyone knows his time is done not only as a Canuck but in the NHL. His eye has effected his play to a point where he has become worse than a 4th line enforcer. Great guy, good personality and good teammate but a tragic situation. Buy out his contract or send him down to the wolves where he can coach like Baumgarnter. Then we sign DOMINICK MOORE. Perfect replacement suited for 3rd line. If Malhotra comes back and plays because the Canucks feel sorry for him then I will be incensed. I guarantee he'll be a liability and will only be used for faceoffs since thats the only thing he can do.

RiCHC3
I'm sure Manny is more disappointed in his play last season than anyone else. With that in mind, I bet he's worked his a$$ off during the off season. So all in all, I'm optimistic and don't think he should be a write off, yet. ErnieVan
Why would you buy out a guy in his last year of his contract? If you didn't want him then put him on waivers that way you would not have to carry any portion of his contract. There isn't any part of your post that makes any sense.! KING ALBERTS
canucks have been thinking outside the box - and using manny as a defensive zone faceoff specialist... leaving our top lines for more time in the offensive zone. yeah it was a bit of a dissapointing season for him, but he is still effective as a shut down guy, not to mention a huge part of the locker room. keeping him around to train our centres is worth it, let alone buying him out. FACT - canuck fans are embarrasingly ignorant on hockey, and throw players under the bus constantly... this fan base is the laughing stock of the league. Datsyukian
Look for Manny Malhotra to have a bounce back year and return to form. Good thing the person who posted this is not the GM, you don't just buyout players for having a mediocre season after a major injury.
