It all really comes down to how good Howden is in NHL 13. This trade depends on his overall and potential in the game.

For now the trade will go through, but when the game comes out I'll look into it.

You don't know the value of the 1 round pick in the first draft. If nhl 13 is anything like nhl 12, the first round pretty much guarantees a superstar.

These two Toronto trades are a little iffy IMHO. I honestly dont know whether he is serious or not. On the other hand, both of his trades are "re-building" ones

Hey if by any chance Howden gets traded to the canucks or any other team this off-season, I think I should have the initial rights to re-negotiate a new deal.

I didn't want him I am in a rebuilding I think quiton howden is going to be a top six forward and I am going to go after some rookies kessel didn't fit my team in my perspective

If you are rebuilding wouldn't you be wanting to keep Colborne. Isn't he someone you'd want to rebuild around?

I think that if any players are traded by their respective teams, the trades involving those players be renegotiated, and the rosters be made up to date with those players. At least, any trade that occurs before Ocotber 1. Or something like that.

I'll take Chicago if it's available. I'm a GM of many fantasy leagues here on CDC.

He's re-building. the first round pick will probably be in the top 10. Pretty much the same offer TO made to the Bruins.

Kessel is 24 years old. not even in his prime. Still a brutal deal. This is not a re-building trade IMO..

No offence, but I'd void it too. Im still skeptical about his trade with Pittsburgh as well, but at least that one is passable.

To be fair, the Kovalchuk trade was EXTREMELY loft sided in your favor lol. All you should have gotten in return is like James Neal and a 2nd round pick. James Neal is probably a 90 overall with still a b- in offence. Regardless, steal of a deal for you. Just saying.

Their shouldn't be any "veto-ing". Show some respect to the GM's. If the GM thinks it's the best move for the team, then who is anyone else to judge them? Focus on making your own trades and let everyone else build the team they want.

edit: Who knows, maybe CanucksCupHopes is trying to make more of a well rounded defensive team. And I know for a fact that Kessel's defensive category is horrendous. Maybe he could have gotten more, but if you look back a couple pages, he was only asking for 2 1st round picks. I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he knows what he's doing.

Actually I think the Neal and a 2nd for Kovy is a steal for the Pens. Neal is good, Kovy is an elite player. Neal struggled until paired with Crosby.

My problem is that he has already left and rejoined the league. Who knows if he is serious about staying, or is he just trying to wreck the league and clown around. Thats why there is a commissioner.

Yea but EA is still going to give him an outstanding rating in nhl 13. I remember he reached 89 overall in his prime in nhl 12 be a gm and Kovalchuk is on the decline by then. If he gets to 89 in nhl 12, he is sure as hell going to get higher than that in nhl 13.

You have to admit though, that trade was really loft sided in the Devil's favour.

Not necessarily, the individual stats are what matter. you can have an 82 overall sniper with all 90's in the offensive category and 70's in defensive category and that player can reach 30-40 goals.

I mean its not like he's trading Kessel for Hordichuk. In which case I would probably agree with you. But if you remember in the last game, the first couple of draft years are filled with superstars. If he drafts a player who becomes a 90 overall and Howden becomes an 85 overall TWF, then in the long run it might be a good deal for him. If you look at his previous trades, he's really stacking up on 1st round picks so it looks like he's trying to build something of his own.
