Looks like he's done okay for himself in the AHL in any case, hopefully he'll continue that at be a good call up if we need him.

Feminism will be outlawed. Mostly because it's a backwards idiotic viewpoint that doesn't serve any real progressive purpose.

How is a useless player no one wants "depth"
Posted 30 July 2012 - 12:17 PM
... Not too pleased about this. Depth is never a bad thing but isn't this the same tough guy that broke his hand in a fight because he didn't make a proper fist?
Anybody that fights knows you don't make a fist that way, and I am sure this wasn't his first one. He probably made the fist like that so he can collect an NHL salary instead of being sent down....
Edit: I just saw on the PITB link that someone else thought the same thing.

Anyways I liked him a few season ago, It sucked that he had to brake his hand on a fight and never got the call back again.
If he's the replacement for Mancari like some people believe he is, then Its not a bad swap.
He's an OK fighter, but definately better than Duco or Mancari.

I'm a little surprised by this signing actually. We let him go last year for a reason. Would prefer to see Bitz re-sign than Desbiens. Besides I think we have our full quota of French instigators.
That about sums up my thoughts on the signing. He'll play on the Wolves but is a decent emergency depth guy, where I'd think Bitz was looking for more security. After that poorly-timed suspension against LA in the playoffs, Bitz didn't have a lot of bargaining power with us.
He produced a bit of offence with the Moose a few years ago but that part of his game seems to have dried up. My guess is that he'll play a bottom 6 role with the Wolves...and will be given a chance to compete for a 4th line spot on the Canucks. I'm surprised that they're bringing him back...there have to be better players available (but maybe he's one of the few that was willing to accept a two way contract at league minimum). I'm also surprised that it's the number 1 story on TSN's NHL page.
Tanev is going to EDM. I can put my life savings down on it
