-Vintage Canuck-
According to Boston Globe's Kevin Paul Dupont: Now that Rick Nash is a Ranger, don’t be surprised to see the Blueshirts make a real play for Jumbo Joe Thornton. Nash and Thornton were magic together in Davos, Switzerland, during the last lockout, and have paired like hand and glove in the Olympics for Team Canada. Thornton would have to allow the Sharks to make the deal, but it’s probably a good time for him to go. He has played 1,077 games — 545 with the Sharks, 532 with the Bruins. Still without a Cup. http://bostonglobe.c...QUaM/story.html

Zoolander
They'd have to give us Del Zotto or a couple other good young prospects as well as some bottom 6 depth. That'd be one scary top 6 tho, it makes ours look REALLLLLLLLLY SMALL.
KING ALBERTS
yes, thats just what NY needs now. why don't they make a play for stamkos while their at it?

Dion Phaneuf
It's possible. The Rags have a ton of prospects and NHL caliber players that they could give up. The still have a lot of cap due to Sather's perfect trade (cap wise).

TOMapleLaughs
Why not? Heck, why not just acquire the league and demote whoever doesn't make the top roster?

PaulKariyaALH
Why would they want Thornton, they already have a 1st line center in Brad Richards. They don't even have the assets to acquire Thornton. If I was the Sharks gm i'd ask for Boyle + Mcdonagh +
rotiman187
Hopefully the sharks gm isn't as dumb as Howson, I can see the sharks get a large return if it happens.
