Sedins

Do you guys think AV should work on splitting the Sedins up sometimes, like every other game. (only when they're not lighting it up)

Henrik has already shown he can play just as well without his brother and I'm sure Daniel can too.

This will help make the team harder to play against and we won't be as predictable.

The Sedins cycle game doesn't seem to work very well in the playoffs and this could provide us with another option for when the Sedins get shut down. We have enough depth to do this, and the Sedins will always be together on the powerplay which is their bread and butter.

When the Sedins get put back together they will probably play even better after being split up for a bit. They already said they don't care if they play together. This also will eliminate our 1st line being the softest in the league, and this will make it harder on opposing teams because they will have to develop new strategies to play against the Canucks if the Sedins are split up, because they can't just shut the cycle game down.

(With the players we have now)

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows

Booth-Kesler-Raymond

Higgins-Lapierre-Hansen

Weise-Malholtra-Kassian

when Sedins get split up

Burrows-Henrik-Kassian - played awesome together against LA, Kassian will also be better this year

Daniel-Kesler-Booth - 1st line on any team, Daniel can be the playmaker Kes needs and can also score obviously, with Booth crashing the net.

Higgins-Lapierre-Hansen - 3rd line stays the same

Raymond-Malholtra-Weise - solid defensively 4th line, soft, but I'm sure it will be improved with Luongo being traded.

Thoughts?

Another one of those ideas that has been suggested before, happens occassionaly, yet people still bring it up as if it's something that's never ever been tried before.

If they were better apart, they'd play apart. As it happens, apart from the occasional shake up, they're better together.
