With the whole Hodgson fiasco behind us and Jordan Schroeder looking to be a bust if he doesn't make the team this year I'm really worried about our cupboard being empty.

While Kassian may turn out to be a quality player I still have my reservations on him. If he does live up to his potential I see him being like Keith Primeau type not Eric Lindross.

The only player that we have truly developed into a mega superstar is Pavel Bure.
Schneider has the potential but only time will tell.

The point I'm trying to get at is that our organization has drafted abysmally. Look at Philadelphia, now they have future SUPERSTARS IN THE MAKING.

And by superstar I mean top 5 player in the league i.e CROSBY, MALKIN, WEBBER, GIROUX, OVECHKIN

The Sedins are very good players but they are not SUPERSTARs. The only reason they are so great is because they feed off each and have chemistry. We saw Henrick wasn't as good when Daniel was injured.

How in the world can you say the Sedins aren't superstars, they are incredible players and are superstars in this league. They both have had 100 point seasons, and can be at that form.

Where did I say the Sedin's aren't superstars?

2 of our first line players = The Sedin's
Sedin's = superstars

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

"And by superstar I mean top 5 player in the league i.e CROSBY, MALKIN, WEBBER, GIROUX, OVECHKIN"

players like Crosby,Malkin and Ovechkin would have been superstars regardless, they were "superstars" before they got drafted.
They weren't really "developed" I don't think Webber was really either. Not sure about Giroux.
Not our fault we don't suck enough to get number draft picks.

The Sedins still fit that description

Obviously the Sedins and Bure, but I'll say Edler is short to follow and if the Canucks stick with Schneider then he too will join that list.

What about Edler? He is just about enter his prime. He will be one of the biggest stars on our team soon. I also think Kesler had one bad year
with injuries and everybody is ready to trade him for a bag of pucks. How can people be so unhappy with a team that has given us so much excitement
over the past few years?

Yup, over a point per game and a career high for goals....not very good.

Maybe he would have had 2 points a game average if Dank was there to carry him, the bum.

The only thing that keeps the Sedins from being glorified is that they don't play in the east.

Are you fraking kidding me? Adding their stats for the last three years I believe they are number 1, if not then top 5.

Well, let's not get carried away, heh, if their was a magical way in the make believe land of fairies that would put Ovie and Sid on our team at the expense of the Sedins, I would do in in a second.

The Sedins are superstars, though, definite top ten and the OP is wrong about that.

Yeah, ok. Just lost any credibility here. If you don't even know how to spell Henrik, my guess is you're trolling. Be careful with that.

This is so silly. Honestly, I don't see how anyone couldn't see Bure, Naslund, or the Sedins as superstars that we've developed.

Rarely, is one team solely responsible for a players development, let alone a top 5.
