Basically a LOT could go wrong.

- Schneider may not handle the pressure and crack.

- Kesler may not return a useful player after consecutive shoulder surgeries.

- Booth may not ever hit his 30-goal mark again.

- Garrison may not live up to the hype.

- Kassian may never develop into a physical top-6 forward.

- Tanev may not be ready for a full-time NHL spot.

There's actually a lot more question marks surrounding this team than people think. There's always the worry of the Sedins and Burrows getting too old too, and our depth at center is waring dangerously thin with only 1 offensively talented centerman and 2 or 3 checking centers when the season starts.

I like what MG says about Raymond:

"At the end of the season we had some discussions with him where we were very, very frank," Gillis said.

Good to know Gillis is being straight up with the guy. Probably told him he has to perform like he did in his 50 point season or he's gone.

The odds of everything going wrong like that are extremely low. Schneider, Booth, Kassian, Garrison, Kesler, and Tanev all not living up their potential seems like an absurdly unlikely scenario. With that kind of logic Philadelphia should be wetting their shorts with all their young guys, because they MAY not live up their potential. And then you say the Sedins are going to be too old, so veterans are a no no too. So who do you get then? Proven players right in their prime coming off career seasons? No team is going to give them up.

Take a breath. Breathe. Remember that all our pieces haven't been added yet, and may not be even until after the season starts if it takes that long for Luongo to be traded.

If we are in panic mode, imagine the nearly all the other teams.
