warrchief
I was excited for this signing, and I am still excited to watch Garrison
JohnTavares
Why are people calling him a one hit wonder when you guys haven't even given him a chance yet? CDC at it's finest. Let his play do the talk.
canucktican
can't wait to see him on ice! and also his shot its deadly imagine what he could do with edler and the Sedins!
PONCHE
In theory I'm all for it. I do however, always have reservations about players who sign big contracts after one good year (4.6m is a lot to get stuck with for 6yrs if he doesnt pan out) I dont think Garrision is a one-hit wonder, but I'll feel better one I've seen him play and can convince myself he's not. vwnuck
i think i need to see him play... i think they gave him to much money and to long of a term but.. time will tell..
vwnuck
Could possibly develop into an Errhoff type player.
vancouversun
He's already changed his Twitter description to 'Vancouver Canucks' so I'm happy
VanCityScout
no one has ever heard or seen him play in Canucks nation...he's just a name that has been playing hockey south of the border..turns out he is from Vancouver...and my guess is...he might replace our beloved Christian Ehrhoff...only 600 thousand more than Ehrhoff was asking... again thank you Mike Gillis.... I was way more happy with Christian Ehrhoff....
VanCityScout
Oh..and bring Keith Ballad into the mix..even more money wasted...4.2 millon...down the drain....
Masamune
Voted "yes." I think he and Edler will be a very good pairing.
Darth Kane
Absolutely YES! All things considered its the best UFA signing of the summer. Garrison give the Canucks one of the best top 4 defense in the league (and all this from a Blackhawks fan).
Canuck Surfer
I love this signing too! But I would like to see Garrison play with Ballard. Then we have two lines with a big shot and a guy who can roam and create offense. It could finally get Ballard going, and we could actually take advantage of our depth. Great Balance! Hamhuis / Bieksa > 1st draw for all key defensive match ups + PK Edler / Tanev > 1st Draw for all key 5 on 5 offensive match ups. Ballard / Garrison > 2knd draw for defensive match ups, 2knd draw for offensive match ups. Hamhuis / Bieksa > 1st PK Edler / Garrison > 1st PP Love this signing. Our team is better offensively and defensively now. He can play a stay at home role for the most part being paired alongside Edler, and the dude is a legit finisher that makes our power play even better with the Sedins setting him up for his cannon of a shot. Plus he's faster, more durable, and hits more than Salo does.

Tortorella's Rant
It's risky. Only one proven season as a top defender. But he'll be given big minutes and put in a position to succeed, I think he'll do fine. If he keeps up between 30 and 40 points over his contract, win. Teksys
Yea I'll like it if he uses his shot. We're expecting a good shot but look what happened when we got Kassian. Everyone was expecting Kassian to be a huge hitter and....well he wasn't.
ButterBean
That's the biggest question mark and if he doesn't, we may very well lose out here. That is precisely why he got as much money as he did.
Pyrene
Yes, I am. Even the year before his "breakout season" he had the best corsi rating among all NHL defencemen. Hamhuis was second. He's a solid shutdown defencemen, and with the added upside that he can score goals that just makes him so much more valuable.
Stick-in-Rink
It's CDC... so I should expect the worst of him or I'm a Garrison fangirl. FIR3 G!LLI$!!!!!!!!!!!!!
