No surprise on latter if/when trade Luongo. good history w/ Melanson: http://bit.ly/Oq3a7u Not sure how I feel about this situation. Maybe I just have a soft spot for Dan Ellis? Jester13
Dan Murphy @sportsnetmurph RT @KevinisInGoal: Huet tells L'Equipe talked w/ Kings + Canucks. No surprise on latter if/when trade Luongo. good history w/ Melanson Sorry if this is already posted, didn't see it anywhere. Thought it's kinda interesting though. If/when we trade Lou, is the plan not to use Lack as backup? Thoughts?
mpt
Lack's agent came out and said he thinks that Lack should get one more year in the AHL before being NHL ready in 2013.

Canucks fan in chicago
No! No! Don't want him. We need YOUNGER players, and since thes "rumor" experts are saying we're after Arnot and Doan, we don't need another over-aged player!
kloubek
For a reasonable price, I think Huet would be the perfect backup.

Honeydews
I can see it now. Boston vs Canucks. Huet in net. Brad Marchand on a breakaway, Huet charges at Marchand. Marchand does a front flip and lands on his head.

mpt
I think Id rather have Dan Ellis. Or Theodore in a Luongo deal.

Everybody Hates Raymond
One year too much. He's a big question mark, what if Schneider actually gets hurt, then what? This guy hasn't played in NHL for a while now and we're not even sure if he can compete.
TOMapleLaughs
Assuming we don't receive a backup goaltender in the Luongo trade, and assuming that the Kings don't receive a backup goaltender in the Bernier trade, it makes sense for both teams to look at every available UFA backup. However, not many teams run a 3-goalie system on purpose.
Canucks fan in chicago
The question about Huet was never about his talent. He just got grossly overpaid by an idiotic Blackhawks GM. Besides, aren't you that idiot who feels the need to go into every single thread about Luongo and/or Schneider and state that Schneider will never be as good as Luongo? Why should your opinion on goaltending even matter?
