higgyfan
Never underestimate the value of leadership. Linden was the heart of the '94 run. What did Bertuzzi ever do for the Nucks. Oh yeah, that ugly incident with Steve Moore that messed up the team for a couple of years. The playoff totals tell a different story. Linden was incredible in playoff games. TowelPower12
True, but he also played 118 playoff games with us.
Tokasmoka
Bertuzzi 0.87 pts/game as a Canuck including a 40+ goal season and 97 points something Linden never even got close to Linden 0.64 pts/game as a Canuck, no question he was a better character guy but statistics-wise Bertuzzi was miles ahead Linden was just as popular if not more for what he did off the ice rather than on it

grandmaster
Stanley Cups = 0. WCE era = no heart, out in the 2nd round. Just cuz the trade wasn't bad, doesn't make it the best trade in the history of the NHL. We don't know how things could have gone differently. Different parts could have been moved, different drafts could have been had. Teams can find different ways to become competitive again. But looking at the big picture, Stanley Cups = 0 and we haven't gone past the 2nd round that many times.

higgyfan
You obviously have a tough time reading, try again. You are not following what this is about. It's a legacy that continues to this day, continuing team competitiveness and allowing us to be solid contenders
grandmaster
I was responding to another poster that was actually comparing Bert to Trevor. So your topic got side tracked. It happens.
