I think this deal is pretty even on both sides.

To Fla

Luongo - all star goalie
Hansen - solid depth winger
Schroeder - future # 2 or # 3 center
Rodin - top 6 potential

To Van

Bjugstad - future 1st or 2nd liner
Versteeg - 50-60 point player, would suit Booth and Kes well imo
Matthias - young, big, gritty, solid defensively

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Booth-Kesler-Versteeg
Higgins-Matthias-Kassian
Pinnizzotto-Malholtra-Lapierre

Our bottom 6 is pretty big with those players and our top 6 is a lot more skilled with Versteeg and a healthy Kes.

Our 3rd line would destroy.

Tallon wanted Luongo,Schroeder,Hansen+a pick for Bjustad and Matthias so if we add rodin instead we can get Versteeg too? sorry not trying to shoot you down but Tallon is being an arse in this trade so we will not get that much

I do this deal but I do not believe the Panthers do. I appreciate your trade effort. Its not easy coming up with trade proposals.

Here is what I think a fair offer is

Van

Bjugstad

Florida

Luongo

Raymond

1st round pick in 2013

That's a ridiculous overpayment. Bjugstad is still playing in college.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Instead of being negative why dont you put up your own proposal . Anyone can rip someone elses proposal down.

He's not being negative - he's being realistic. That's the point of a thread... so people can reply to each other. Also, we're now measuring the true mark of a man by how many useless topics he can create in an internet forum? I'm confused.

Massive overpayment by Vancouver and a giant overvaluing of Bjugstad at this point in his career. He has not even played an NHL game yet you are giving up a top 10 netminder, a top 9 forward and a 1st round pick (albeit a probable late one)?

I know you weren't speaking to me, but, here is my manly proposal for you to rip...

1. Keep Luongo and have the NHL's best goaltending to help you towards a franchise first Cup.

2. Luongo for Versteeg and Goc.

Yeah. Well I dont think his thread is 'useless' . And if you are going to take pains to reply to a thread, how about doing something constructive rather than being negative and just cutting others down.

If you dont like the guys suggestion, put up your own. Its not unreasonable a request.

Lui is 33 and has 10 years left.

I think Luongo is worth a mid first rounder. Like 15th overall . So in my opinion how do we go from a 15th overall to 3rd overall

Add in a potential 20 goal guy who has his slumps , Raymond raising this to probably 10th or 8th overall.

Go from 8th overall adding a 26th to 30th pick (hopefully) probably gets us to 3rd. Maybe not.

Im sure there are several other combinations to get us to 3rd overall but this was one I used to include Lui.

lol. They get a top 10 goalie, an excellent third liner, and two first round picks in 2014 for two prospects that have yet to play an NHL game, and a 1st. Vancouver gets no 1st's in 2014 while Florida gets no 1st's 2013. A fair trade off IMO.

50/50 between yes and no. Yes mostly because this years draft is supposed to be amazing.

To get Bjugstad, the canucks will have to add, at a minimum, Jennsen to any Luongo package (not Gaunce as he is not highly regarded outside vancouver).

Agreed. I am hoping some other deal can be worked out like Raymond and a low first. I think Jensen plays above his draft position so I wouldn't want to give him up.

Florida will laugh at us. If they can't agree on a Luongo for Bjustad trade, their is no way that we receive more value wise.

He said it was an overpayment. I didn't read it as negative in any way. Had he thrown out an insult, then I can see your point. I'm confused as to how any of this is negative.

To Florida: Luongo,3rd,raymond,Malholtra(It's sad to let him go! )

To Vancouver:Bjugstad,Matthias,Upshall,Santorelli.

I think it's pretty even. I got rid of Malholtra because we are getting 3 centers.

With Kesler....

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Booth-Kesler-Upshall
Higgins-Santorelli-Hansen
Lappiere-Matthias-Kassian

Scratched-Weise,Pinnizotto,Volpatti,Ebbett,Bjugstad

Edler-Garrison
Hamhuis-Bieksa
Ballard-Tanev

Alberts,Connauton

I love it!

Seriously I don't see why Florida is so desperate to get Luongo as people are mentioning that they do. Florida can just simply use their tandem of Theodore/Clemmenson like last year for a year and simply wait out the year and sign a UFA goalie next year (Backstrom, Lethonen, Thomas, Howard, Smith) without even giving up any assets. Same goes for Toronto and any other teams that are targeting Luongo. So in the end, I really don't think we're going to get much in return for Luongo no matter the team he goes to.

Talon probably wasn't too happy with the result of the Booth trade so I can understand if he's a little bit cranky.

Forget it, Bjugstad is getting overrated and if we have to add Jensen or Schroeder in to get him no chance I'm doing it.

He's only playing in collage right now so he could still be a bust you never know.

YOU'RE NUTS!!!! WE CAN'T AFFORD TO GIVE AWAY DRAFT PICKS ESPECIALLY IN SUCH A DEEP DRAFT AND FOR 1 PLAYER WHO HASN'T EVEN PLAYED IN THE NHL!!!!! LUONGO ALONE SHOULD GET US BJUGSTAD AND MATTHIAS.....BJUGSTAD ALONE WOULD BE THE MINIMUM RETURN FOR LUONGO.
My 2014 Draft wishlist: 1st rd: Draisaitl, Virtanen, Scherbak. 2nd rd: Brendan Lemieux, Thatcher Demko (Goalie)
