Totes McGoats
We would have to have some Canadian's on the team for that to work.
Mack Attack
Hamhuis > M. Staal Add in potential injuries, and Hamhuis is a strong possibility...but not a lock. Other possibilities: Campbell, Girardi, Del Zotto (sooo jealous of NYR), Burns, Giordano...

EddieVedder
its sad, but I dont think any of our guys have a shot, unless Luongo is still with us. It really makes me wish we had more Canadian stars on this team. I know Burrows played in the Worlds, but we have to remember Burr is going to be 33, and as much as I love him as a player, I cant see him on the club with all the talent this country has.... Virtually every player on the potential roster is THE franchsie player capable of playing in any and all positions for their NHL club. Nash-Crosby-Giroux Toews-Stamkos-Seguin EStaal-Getzlaf-Perry Eberle-Nugent-Hopkins-Hall JStaal Weber-Doughty Keith-Letang Peitrangelo-Del Zotto Girardi Price Luongo Ward
thad
burrows is one of the best canadian penalty killers in the league and had a very good world championships. depending on how they make up the 4th line will determine if he makes the team. if i was making the team i would probably take him over another scoring winger on the 4th line. jordan staal and burr would make a pretty sick shutdown duo. cmpunk
Hamhuis will be invited to camp. The guy is a steady rock solid shutdown d-man. Just look at his +/- from the past 2 seasons. People saying Price and Fleury are the top 2 guys and Lu might be the 4th or 5th goalie is stupid. Lu is the guy to beat for team Canada 2014. If he is healthy and playing like he has been he will be on the top and Fleury and Price will have to take the job from him. Just like Luongo did from Brodeur. Right now Lu is the guy just because he is the recent gold medal winning goalie. Unless Lu is injured or just goes down hill in the next 2 seasons, Lu will be the guy the beat. My order would be Lu, Fleury and then Price. Absolutely do not get why Price is somehow the undisputed goalie for team Canada as if the guy has done so much. Fleury is a whole lot more proven then Price...
Canuck Surfer
Hamhuis is a distinct possibility, possibly a better player than Seabrook. But the team would seriously miss Seabrook's size and I personally would select him for that reason. Could also easily replace Staal if they want three pairings, each with a key defensive specialist rather than all the puck moving offensive guys (Doughty, Kieth, Pietrangelo, Letang)... I believe Hamhuis is better than Staal. Weber a 2 way key cog, Hamhuis and Seabrook then all provide the stay at home guy that lets us roam and play up tempo hockey with all our offensive guys? There is certainly room for Hamhuis, even if the 7th guy! Question; can any one put together preferred side of play for each of the candidates? Although most people will likely disagree. Hamhuis is a possibility. Although a slim chance with Weber, Doughty, Pietrangelo, M. Staal, Letang, Keith and Seabrook as probable locks.

Raiun
Burrows could be there in a 3rd line role, because he's still an excellent checker and can make some really smart offensive plays. I'd love to see him there, and with him showing up at the World Hockey Championship, it could happen at the Olympics. Probably none of our defensemen. Hamhuis maybe if he steps it up a bit, Garrison maybe if he continues on his upward arc.. Doubtful though. Maybe if someone else is injured or doesn't want to go. Moonshinefe
I don't see why Hamhuis won't get consideration. The guy was 2nd in defensemen +- last year. He's one of the best shut down D-men in the league--and put up some decent points last year as well.
Hunter.S-Kerouac
Hamhuis and Burr team Canada needs more team and people willing to play roles who are great at it. . Crosby and Weber need guys like these to dominate the way they do.
