Maybe Burrows. Hamhuis is a slim chance. I really hope Kassian goes on beast mode next couple of seasons so he'll get considered.

i think burr has a real shot at a 4th line role, just like draper had for years with team canada. You need those type of players and team canada usually picks 1-2 of them hopefully one is burr!

Yes but he's nowhere near Weber, Doughty, Letang, Pietrangelo, Keith....

Not saying he is, but he should at least receive consideration and a camp invite. I've said elsewhere Canada's pretty deep in right-sided dmen so Hamhuis would have a much better shot.

I say Hamhuis maybe, but Luongo if here, can be.

We don't have many Canadians. Sedins, Edler might play for Sweden.

Luongo backed up by Marc-Andre Fleury and Burrows on the 3rd or 4th line

For 2014, I see these Canucks (As of our current roster) suting up in Sochi:

USA: Cory Schneider, Ryan Kesler

Sweden: Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin, Alex Edler

Denmark: Jannik Hansen

Canada: Jason Garrison OR Dan Hamhuis, Roberto Luongo? (If he is good on his new team, he has a chance to beat out guys like Marc-Andre Fleury, Cam Ward, Carey Price, Brian Elliot, Mike Smith, and Braden Holtby)

Extremely unlikely anyone on our team will compete for TEam Canada unless LUongo is still with us.

Yeah, like they would take our BACKUP!

I'd say MAYBE Hamhuis. Canada's D core is ridiculous though so Hammer might not make it.

Burrows has a slim chance but the forward roster is pretty beastly too.

BAD MOVE!!!

BAD FING MOVE

HAHAHA ANOTHER INJURED MORON ON OUR TEAM

HE WILL JOIN US IN 2019

Benning will be fired next year. Hope he enjoys screwing around for a few months. I just cant believe this. Another injured BC player. We just got rid of garrison. Seems like the canucks and linden just wanted any BC born player. Doesn't matter if hes good or not. We don't need another Linden to get us to game 7 of the Stanley cup and lose. We need someone to win us a cup.

5 million a year for Vrbata? 6 million for Miller? Kesler for Bonino and 24th instead of 10th pick or one of their top prospects? Garrison for scraps?

ive already lost faith in JB. Ive never EVER had this bad of a feeling about management.

Burrows.
Good penalty killer, very good skater, forechecker and has a knack for scoring big goals.

Although most people will likely disagree.

Hamhuis is a possibility.

Although a slim chance with Weber, Doughty, Pietrangelo, M. Staal, Letang, Keith and Seabrook as probable locks.

Agreed. TSN gave him some praise early last season by choosing him as part of the 6 dman for Team Canada in 2014 just based on how well he was playing at the time.

Schneider for the United States...
Kassian for Canada.

I think Schneider will be 3rd string behind Miller and Quick.

Burrows has a damn good chance of making the Olympic Team, especially after his player in this years world tournament.

Schneider for the United States...

The US is in Canada now?

Lu will 100% make it, the Canadian goaltending squad isn't that deep.

Wouldn't say 100%, but there's a good chance.

Ok in order i think the chances r

Hamhuis
Burrows
Tanev
Kassian
Bieksa

I agree. Luongo has no chance.

Luongo seems the only one with a shot, too much competition among forwards and D.

Totally agree. Canadian D-men are too crazy lately.

Lu has a strong chance of being the starter, but Price still has potential and room to grow. As inconsistent as Fleury can be sometimes, he's proven and experienced and will also have a good shot at the number one spot. I wouldn't automatically slot in Lu as number 1.

Exactly. He is the guy to beat, but nothing is guaranteed.
I'm saying Aladeen a lot because http://forum.canucks...dpost__10922428

I bet when Schneider turns 38, he will have broken all of Luongo's records.

Lou won't be with us but I could see him as 3G behind Price and Fleury. I'd say a toss up between him and Ward. Maybe Hammer, maybe Garrison. But doubt eitherI

Is mike smith canadian? If so, I would think he is a lock for the job. Fleury sh!t the bed in the playoffs this year..

Hamhuis will be invited to camp. The guy is a steady rock solid shutdown d-man. Just look at his +/- from the past 2 seasons.

People saying Price and Fleury are the top 2 guys and Lu might be the 4th or 5th goalie is stupid. Lu is the guy to beat for team Canada 2014. If he is healthy and playing like he has been he will be on the top and Fleury and Price will have to take the job from him. Just like Luongo did from Brodeur.

Right now Lu is the guy just because he is the recent gold medal winning goalie. Unless Lu is injured or just goes down hill in the next 2 seasons, Lu will be the guy the beat.

My order would be Lu, Fleury and then Price. Absolutely do not get why Price is somehow the undisputed goalie for team Canada as if the guy has done so much. Fleury is a whole lot more proven then Price...

Lu was fine in Vancouver, but the olympics are not at home this time. Lu is average to below average on the road for several years now. For a 5 year span he has been close to bad on the road.
