Wouldn't be surprised, they got lots of depth back from the Nash trade

If they trade for a true #1 goalie then maybe.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

I doubt Lu would want to go there. I'd say a goalie like Michal Neuvirth would get them either the 7th or 8th seed.

As for your line up idea, I'd say it'd look more like this:

Umberger - Dubinsky - Atkinson
Prospal - Johansen - Brassard
Foligno - Anisimov - Dorsett
Boll - Letestu - Gillies

Tyutin - Johnson
Wisniewski - Murray
Nikitin - Aucoin

Mason
Bobrovsky

They have no real first-line players. Umberger, Dubinsky, Brassard, Johansen, Foligno and arguably potentially Anisimov and Atkinson are all 2nd liners. Unless several of their young guys have break-out seasons or they get some sort of miracle out of one of Mason or Bobrovsky, there is no way they make the playoffs.

They don't have a single top line forward, a single top pair defenceman , or a starting goaltender.

They'll be lucky if they're not in the basement again.

Defence pairings will most likely be the following:

Tyutin - Nikitin
Johnson - Wiz
Murray - Aucoin

They may have decent forward depth, but enough top end talent. and who is their goalie again? I don't think so.

That's the question, isn't it? If the made the playoffs it would be at the expense of whom?

I voted no for the record, they'll probably finish last again unless Edmonton is going for another pick.

I was saying Lu-Urns...

^That's a Dubinsky hockey meme I found

They've got a great blue line...if they get some goaltending and solid coaching it could compensate for their impotent forwards.

They look like the Phoenix model. All they need is a Mike Smith.

I dont know if Bobrovsky or Mason can carry a team.

Does that mean we're all going to win the Stanley Cup if there's a lockout...
