How does him saying that he is academic in any way imply that NO religious person is academic? Do you just ENJOY putting words in other people's mouths or is it just ingrained because being a Christian made you that way?

Hard to take an "academic" seriously when he/she believes in a "Santa Clause" type deity .. I believe in gravity myself .. has not let me down yet and is always there for me .. B)

MOTTO: .. "GRAVITY" .. it will keep you grounded" ..

That would be fine if that was what you said.

What you said was "if you don't like Religion so much then get out of canada." There is a world of difference between this incredibly ignorant statement and what you just changed it to after being called out on it and having time to think about it.

Human life is insignificant and therefore in the grand scheme of things meaningless. Humans are nothing special, the Earth is nothing special, the Sun is nothing special. We're all beings, the earth is a planet, the sun is a star, all made up of the same fundamental particles of nature. Nothing any of us do is going to matter one iota after the human race is extinct. Deal with it.

It's not irrelevant to bring up Hitler and the holocaust when we are talking about atheism and morality. It's a burning question that is still is not resolved on any realm of discussion.

Slaytanic already made it clear, according to him: "human life has no significance in the grand scheme of things."

So this the window to your beliefs and mindset, this is essentially your world view. From here we derive a point that human life isn't important and has no intrinsic value to it. Is it safe to say that you neither believe in good and evil as well? That these words to you are human constructs that have evolved over time to aid survival?

Would you risk yourself to save the lives of others? Why or why not? Should we be concerned with genocide in other countries, and/or should there even be a desire to learn from those histories (such as Tutsis and Hutus)? Do you think it is a waste of resources to help those in need? People who in all likelihood would not aid in your survival?

Hitler was god and his genocide was punishment for the Jews for rejecting Jesus because killing the entire species again was too much hassle. Who are you to question a supreme being and its actions? It's all a part of god's plan.
