thehamburglar
D. SEDIN - H. SEDIN - KASSIAN Klatt, Carter and Burrows all profited immensely from playing with the Sedins, though none were adequate in standing up for them. The Sedins cannot be pushed around like that their whole career. It mist stop Promptly. They are finess players who can stand up on their ownstandard not tought to stand up for themselves or the team; you're not going to see Daniel defend any player a majorly rough altercation. On a side note: is it not ironic how Hodgson's back was "misdiagnosed" and Raymond's broken back was "fixed"? lol
GHL
he needs to be better conditioned to stay in the game for a whole 60 min, too many times last year he seemed gassed at the mid way mark and rode the pine for the 3rd. sounds like he has been beasting in the gym this summer so im excited to see what a leaner meaner kassian can do. the potential is there, he just needs to take it

Christophe
He needs to get a top 9 roll this upcoming season to keep developing. Putting him on the 4th with limited minutes is just a huge waste.

GHL
Yes it mist stop. Fudge mist. But, give Kassian alittle bit of leeway before he's being called Bert. I want 7 goals, 10-15 assists abouts from him, I'd be happy with that.
thehamburglar
I'm not saying he's the next Bert. I'm saying his function with the Sedins must be that of protector. Compensation: production like Burrows, Klatt and Carter. Although Kassian made reference to Bert when asked who was his favorite player.
davebabychisback
Honestly? I expect he'll get 20 - 30 points, and there's a decent chance that he'll be CDC's whipping boy by the end of the season, whether merited or not.
nuck nit
My expectations are that he comes in to play and is given the adequate ice time to secure a top nine role.

Petey Castiglione
Can we get a source that says Kassian did actually train with Gary Roberts? Not to be a douche, just would like confirmation as I haven't seen anything saying he has been.

They are finess players who can stand up on their ownstandard not tought to stand up for themselves or the team; you're not going to see Daniel defend any player a majorly rough altercation. Putting Kassian on their line can create a lot of noise around the league and can easily make all of us forget fast, a kid who didn't want to play on the West Coast. No more would the opponent even think of coming close to the Sedins and harass them. Kind of like Bertuzzi was to Naslund and Morrison. It is needed. As much as Burrows can score on what the Sedins dish out, so ought Kassian. Gillis has put a lot of faith in Kassian. Let's see why this kid's got. thema
Please, can we give this guy two full seasons of play before we call him a bust or a stud? I say he turns out fine in the year after this coming one.
foozer
Should be expected to make the opening night line up but the issue will be whether he can keep his spot for the majority of the year or not. If he can show consistency in his physical play AV should keep him around. Offensive side of his game most likely will come after he claims a roster spot.
