R G M G part 2 [ST.LOUIS AND TAMPA BAY OPEN!]

As usual the Coyotes feel the urge to make a long post when announcing a pick so here it is. We are proud to round off our defensive group with a player who has playoff experience, and we believe can get a couple more points on a good team this year. We believe he will feel comfortable in Arizona, as we drafted his former and now current captain earlier in this draft. With the 456th overall pick in the RGMG draft of 2011-2012.... the Phoenix Coyotes are proud to select

Niklas "The Clean Hitting Machine" Hjalmarsson

Niklas brings a solid game to the table, where he can dish out hard punishing hits and move the puck smoothly out of our end without much issue on his part. He plays the game on an edge, but would never go for the intentional headshots, nor the dirty plays such as slew foots, dives, and trash talking. We have him penciled in to round out our top six which we believe has a great combination of hard hitters, as well as puck movers. We believe in a certain element of grit in between our defensemen, and between players like Niklas, Kevin, and Girardi we are confident they are the men we are looking for. He is a big body that can clear out the front of the net, and we believe we have an intimidating pair between Keith and Niklas. Now we can focus on rounding up our forwards, and drafting a couple solid gritty young forwards to fill those lines.
