Well wasnt there a rule about picking a goalie in the first few rounds? If so shouldn't some teams penalized? I don't know if anyone still doesn't have a goalie though....

The RGMG Opening Draft is a 23 round draft where you pick players for your team.

The draft order will be decided by randomize.org

The draft order will also be a snake. Meaning, the 30th overall pick gets the 31st overall pick in the next round.

You are to select at-least one goaltender by round 6.

For league balance, you are only allowed to select one starting goalie. This is the official starting goalie list.

Anderson, Craig [OTT]

Backstrom, Niklas [MIN]

Brodeur, Martin* [NJD]

Bryzgalov, Ilya [PHI]

Crawford, Corey [CHI]

Fleury, Marc-Andre [PIT]

Halak, Jaroslav [sTL]

Hiller, Jonas [ANA]

Howard, Jimmy [DET]

Kiprusoff, Miikka [CGY]

Lehtonen, Kari [DAL]

Lundqvist, Henrik [NYR]

Luongo, Roberto [VAN]

Miller, Ryan [bUF]

Niemi, Antti [sJS]

Pavelec, Ondrej [WPG]

Price, Carey [MTL]

Quick, Jonathan [LAK]

Rinne, Pekka [NSH]

Smith, Mike [PHX]

Thomas, Tim [bOS]

Varlamov, Semyon [COL]

Ward, Cam [CAR]

This list will change in the next few months, with some potential variables. (Luongo being moved, Brodeur retiring, etc...) Thelist will likely expand.

After learning that the rule of everybody having to pick a starting goalie by round 6 was "stupid" and that Elliott was "set in stone" as a starting goaltender on the Certified Starting Goalie List, St. Louis selects Jonathan Bernier as a compensatory pick.
