In all seriousness, thoughts? I do like the opinion of other Gm's from time to time.

Kunitz - Zetterberg - Hudler
Burrows - Strome - Laich
XXXXXX - Lapierre - XXXXXX
XXXXXX - XXXXXXX - XXXXXX

Letang - Seidenberg
Del Zotto - Franson
Mitchell - XXXXXXX

Quick
Harding

Starting from the top, Kunitz has solidified himself as a two-way, top 6 forward able to pot 50+ points. Playing with Malkin or Crosby also helps. Zetterberg is an elite talent, and will consistently put up high point totals. Hudler is a wildcard, who has consistency issues, having good years and bad years, but will have a big, primary role in Calgary. Burrows and Laich are great complementary players for their respective teams, and Lapierre adds great PIM value and production for the bottom 6. Strome has high upside, and could make the NHL.

Letang is arguabely the best fantasy defenseman behind Karlsson and Byfuglien. Seidenberg has proven to be a consistent 30 point defenseman. Del Zotto has came out of Tortella's doghouse, and blossomed into a top notch power-play quarterback. Franson has great upside and needs an oppurtunity to shine. Mitchell proves to be a great fit on LA.

Quick is probably the best goalie in the NHL, playing on the SC winning team. Harding is craving to get the starting role in Minnesota after years and years of servicing as back-up.

Probably the best team, but anything can happen.

Colorado extremely proud to select Mark Stuart from the Winnipeg Jets

He's our third defenseman, put up 90 PIMS and 10 points this offseason, not too shabby.

And harding better not get the starting job, I have backstrom..

Your rosters are cute and all but...

Spezza-Crosby-Okposo
Gerbe-Couture-Setoguchi
Scheifle-Kennedy

Giordano-Hedman
Martin-McQuaid
Engelland

Lindback
Bobrovsky

Strong defensive and goalie core.

The starting role in Minnesota will be decided upon whichever goalie can stay healthy the longest.

PK covered the player-by-player analysis so I'll give a brief one. Very good top 6, best I've seen yet, only wildcard is Strome. Good pool producing defense, and hopefully for you Franson can win over Carlyle and get some more minutes as he's ready to thrive. Goalies you have a grade A starter, and a good backup that could potentially be a starter as well, just has to stay healthy and consistent.

Top 5 team for sure, top 10 team if you hit a bit of a slump.

Edler, Markstrom, Hansen, 2nd round pick 2014 to Islanders for Ryan Strome, 5th overall pick 2014

This is fairly even as well.

Damn, nice pick. Could be a steal if he gets back to his 25+ point season totals. Cheap caphit too. Wanted him.

Alright guys, as many of you heard the NHL proposed a new deal and the season may start as early as November 2nd.

Couple problems here for our league that I'd like to sort out with you guys and get opinions and thoughts because this isn't something we could make an executive decision on without putting it out there.
  • We were following to what we thought the cap would be of $70,200,000. However, I am hearing the cap may go down to as low as $55,000,000. What do you guys think, should we continue on with our $70,200,000 or keep the realism and make it whatever the NHL has.
  • The draft is at round 15, and a little over 2 weeks before the season starts (if the deal is accepted or made), we would have to do an online draft to speed things up. What time/day(s) work for you guys.

Make it whatever the NHL makes it for salary cap.
Sunday night and Monday night works best for me.

Question, during the online draft if somebody misses there pick for whatever reason can they make there pick up as soon as they come back online or do they have to still wait ?

They would have to wait until the end of the round.

Because a list is not hard to make and send to PK and I.

Salary cap wise, I have just learned that in the proposal, it is also included that if this deal does go through, in year 1 of the deal the salary cap would be $70,200,000. So we are covered on that end, we follow the NHL.

Well then, for this game we continue as we have been.

As a fan,I would be really disappointed as the ball is in the NHLPA's court. I don't think they are dumb enough to reject this though; however I think there will be tinkering with the deal over the next few days to suit both sides.

Sounds good then.

Also, reduce the time limit to 6 hours again? Maybe we could get to round 18 by Sunday or round 19 if we draft on Tuesday.

Fehr better be careful for what he wishes for, otherwise I can see the owners just saying screw it, and cancelling the whole season. If Fehr wants to tinker this, tinker that, he better be careful, otherwise the owners will just backoff and look like the good guys while Fehr is the one who wanted more, more more. If Fehr does blow this deal though, the PA will now be getting heat, guarantee it.

All depends if the PA wants to come out of this current offer as reasonable, or the side that blew the NHL season because Fehr screwed up and wanted to tinker far too much.

Fehr and the PA are lucky the NHL gave them an offer right out of the blue like this.
