foozer
A cup win this year with our current roster will require a good return in a lou trade. THN has to print something but i would say its a pretty big compliment.
Guest
Always cool to see people in the media taking the Canucks to win
ExpectoPatronum
I'm going to break stuff if the Rangers win.
Canucksbiggestfan
this Doan decision is holding everything else up.
DSVII
Honestly at this point, until I see Henrik kissing the cup and parading it down granville street, the media and their predictions can just suck it
Garrison
Doesn't matter there isn't going to be a season to win. Canucks still need help on the wing come play off time. I'm fine if we trade a 1st rounder for one if we can't sign Doan or Arnott or get a winger in a Luongo trade. Nothing wrong going into the play offs with Luongo and Schneider in net if we can't get a trade done.
-AJ-
I don't believe in jynxes, so I'd say it's a pleasant surprise. I sure hope we are like the Red Wings of the late 90's.
Ryan Murray
Well thank God that didn't happen; we'd be crying ourselves to sleep.
mysticriver
. Instead, we got annihilated in 5 games during the first round of the playoffs. Happier? Oh, an 8th seed too. And we once again got beat by the champs.

FullMetalOilDrum
Canucks have the best chance in the west. I think Philadelphia or New York has the best chance in the east.
steviewonder20
I received my Hockey News annual in the mail and noticed that the editors of THN are predicting the Canucks will beat Pittsburgh to win the Stanley Cup. They are comparing the Nucks recently playoff losses to those from Detroit a few years back before the Wings won their first cup in the modern era. Should this prediction be viewed as a pleasant surprise or a jinx? (Sorry if this repeats, but I did a topic search for THN predictions and only came up with fantasy point total projections). Ductapeman
I read THN the other day and they said Pittsburgh is to take the cup... maybe it was a different magazine...

Ryan Murray
Anybody who watched the team play this season knew they weren't going anywhere or winning anything meaningful. We're not the only ones who got "annihilated" by the Kings, who are clearly not an "eighth seed." It's the same result in the end, is it not? Edler's Mind Tricks
Remember a couple years ago when there was a weekly topic about how no-one in the media knew, wrote or cared about the Canucks?
mysticriver
That's my point. I'm comparing a first round loss to a cup final loss as the same thing.
