Chaos Giraffe
I talked to the guy a couple days ago (after I destroyed him in the trade) and he said he seemed like a cool guy, although I asked him about the Semin trade (because he got ripped IMO) and he said that he just didn't care. Good thing you are making a stand.

Blömqvist
The Philadelphia Flyers have just handed the New Jersey Devils their first loss of the season! Pekka Rinne stole the show as the Flyers beat the Devils 2-0. Philadelphia led in every statistical category including shots, hits, time on attack, and face-offs by playing a tight defensive team game, limiting the defending Stanley Cup Champions to only 13 shots, with just 3 of those shots coming in the 3rd and final frame where they were down 1-0 at the start. When asked whether or not his team would grind out the 3rd period to ensure the win, head coach Peter Laviolette immediately responded "F*ck yeah!" He was later fined $3,500 by the NHL Disciplinarian Brendan "Shenanigans" Shanahan. The statistics do not reflect the game, however. New Jersey, despite having registered only 13 shots on net, had several chances to tie the game up early. The bounces simply did not go their way. Moreover, as the game dwindled down to its final few seconds Devils' forward Travis Zajac rung a shot off the top right corner of the goal-post, delighting Flyers fans and, most importantly, Pekka Rinne. The Philadelphia goaltender, who earned his first shutout of the season, stood his ground early in the game when the Flyers defence was scrambling. He made quick glove saves on some lethal Kovalchuk wristers from the high slot, stopping the Devils' offence when it looked its deadliest. Flyers' forward Brad Marchand opened the scoring at 14:18 of the 1st period with some patient work circling around the net before firing a wrist shot that seamed through traffic and into the back of the net. The score remained 1-0 until 4 and a half minutes into the third period, where Tyler Myers shot a cannon of a slap shot off the face-off from the high slot that went off the cross-bar and in. The Broad Street Bullies look to head into the weekend on a winning streak. They have games against Ottawa, Buffalo, San Jose, and Phoenix.
