anyone seen/heard from washington lately? I have 2 games against him this SIM, which will probably end up deciding our division, and I'd rather not leave it up to chance

#1. Giroux has been injured for half the season. I don't know why I put this as reason number 1 as I never really used Giroux anywhoo. I guess we can say these are in no particular order.

#2. That lineup physically was atrocious. Majority of the top 6 were 1 dimensional speed guys. It didn't fit our playing style.

#3. We felt that we needed a #1 defenseman as well as depth at D. After all, defense wins championships.

#4. There were really only a handful of changes. Out: Gagne, Pavelski, Stastny, Williams In: Berglund, Marchand, Horton, Jones, Myers. Players who can hit, skate, pass, shoot, and hit. (Dodgeball, anyone?)

#5. I co-GM with another player. Quite a bit of our games have gone to "simulation" as well, and that hasn't been very good to us. Personally, from the games that I've played I've only lost to the Rangers, Dallas, Toronto, and Montreal (4 losses total -- sorry Nathan MacKinnon!). I should've lost to Vancouver but persistence and luck payed off. Although we may be in 8th I feel confident that I can make it out of the East. So us being 8th isn't really a big deal to us as there are many factors/variables to that position. If I played the majority (and I mean majority) of the games then being 8th would be relevant and I would probably be worried about our first round matchup.

The lineup that you built was very good, no argument about that -- it had all the qualities that any rush-scoring player would want, but it just didn't have the pieces that benefitted our playing style. It could very well have won you the cup, but with our playing style it wouldn't have.

Hopefully that gives a satisfactory explanation. #GoodDaySir
