Hope next year draft class isn't full of busts. I know two kids who played in Penticton slated to go pretty high. Lazar playing there for just one season .

If you want to draft in hindsight, then most picks are busts

I would have taken Eberle before Hodgson back then

Nedved instead of Jagr??

Hindsight is hindsight.

But yes, very depressing.

Ah, the off-season... (the split milk can be cried over, e.g. White over Perron, Nedved instead of Jagr... etc.)

Why not be more positive and think of our biggest draft/ signing successes? Many of the team's players were drafted, signed or acquired in absolute steals of trades.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Jesus LOVES YOU!
2012, meet Matthew 24:36-47!

14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Nedved instead of Jagr??

Jagr wasn't supposed to be available to come to North America for 1 or 2 years after he was drafted. The Canucks needed immediate help at center. That said, Primeau and Ricci were available.

I'm sorry, but it had to be said.

Nedved at 2nd overall has to be up there, surprised it took as long as it did for his name to get brought up.

I meant it was a bust for us because not only is the guy we picked not here anymore but we also could have had one of those other 3 guys on our team, not saying Hodgson is a bust or a bad player. But if someone said who do you want Hodgson or Eberle I'd take Eberle in a heartbeat.

regardless it was a terrible post

lol cool story bro, you tell me what's good about not even having the player you drafted and on top of that could have had one of 3 players just as good if not better.

Hodgson is not a bust but he's not as good as people here thought he was, he had 41 points last year and he ended up playing 83 games. Eberle played 76 and had almost double that

Alexandre Daigle wasn't he that guy that Ottawa purposely lost games to draft but he ended up being one of the biggest bust in all time? As well for Canucks I think it has to be Patrick White.
