Ursel23
Hello fellow Canucks fans. I have always been a huge fan of the NHL video games and honestly can't wait for 13. Now I'm traveling Australia and won't be home until the following year. I'm just curious to how the demo is but more importantly, the difficulty. In all previous games once you get the hang out it, It's quite easy to win almost all games throughout a season no matter what the difficulty. So with your experience in playing the demo what are your thoughts? Will making the playoffs be some what of a Challenge? Will the game be up for grabs or will it be easy to grab the lead and maintain it? Im hoping for more of a threat from the computer. I want to know if I can actually lose a fair amount of games. Thanks for the information guys!
coleman26
The demo is split. If you want to get toe-draggy and snipey, you have a good chance of picking a corner. I find one-timers harder to execute, and the breaking speed leads to less control in deking so someone who has a half-step on you won't be able to dangle the goalies as much. I imagine the sniping will be less effective, but for what it's worth, by now in 2012 I'd won the HUT tourny, and I haven't beaten Team USA yet this year. Your 3rd and 4th line players can get thoroughly dominated if they get caught in their own zone against talented players. So, in closing, there's exploits in the demo, but I'd expect they'll be gone or limited to just Pro setting. It's a lot harder to set up cross crease passes, one timers, etc, so you kind of have to work for your goals a lot more.

Ryanstorm
Yeah i'd say this game has significantly improved in difficulty. I'm still getting used to the new play. I find it a lot harder to score goals as well. Which should be nice for goalies who were getting scored on a lot in EASHL lol..
