-AJ-
I just had to say you spelled Miikka wrong on your top 10 list. But good article. I hope he has a ton of success once he leaves. Unless it's against the Canucks, I'll be cheering for his team.

bure's triple deke
I read an article comparing stats of Lou VS Theodore ans Clemmenson with Marchison waiting in the wings. Lou gives them 1/8 of a goal per game over the tandem. How much do you think Florida is going to pay for that tiny improvement? Not that bushel full Canuck fans are hoping for !!! Watermelons
Luo doesnt even have as good of a record as kipper kipper is the only one with a win % above .500 cujo had a team in edmonton like they do now but he actually got them into the playoffs and was the biggest part of them knocking off the top seeds. hextall is one of the only 2 goalies to lose in the finals and win the conn smyth.. luongo small part of the best team in the league in the last 2 years and has never raised his game in the playoffs... Riviera82
Another blind hater that only looks at the bad and not the good. Well here's his stats for 2010-11 bud Record: 38-15-7 GAA: 2.11 SV%: .928 That's good for top 3 in the league in all categories.
Riviera82
72 saves in his first playoff game says hi. Great save of Patrick Sharp in Game 7 OT. 2 shutouts in the Stanley Cup Finals last year says hi. Do I need to go on?

smurf47
Read that article on NHL.com as well. It's an interesting argument, so I'll do my best to rebutal. I don't know much about the style of play that Florida employed last season, but if you look at their goals per game, they ranked 27th in the league at 2.40. It stands to reason that they would have played a lot of trap and/or a very conservative system. Yes, they still average 30 shots against per game, but with what I imagine was a low-risk style of play, it's possible that a lower-than-average proportion of those shots were odd-man rushes/breakaways/etc. The implication is that Theodore and Clemmensen's save percentage might have been inflated for that reason. I could be completely wrong, but that's my semi-informed take.
nuck nit
2 Vezina nominations in Vancouver -record wins for the franchise. I agree that he carried the Canucks in his first 3 years here. In year 1 he did, and he was helped a lot by our defense. In year 2 he was very good but the league was exceptionally tight -checking the stats. In year 3 he was very good. Forgive me but I helped your memory lapses,Riviera.

TowelPower12
I agree that he had a great year in 2010 but since then has reverted back to old habits and not followed what made him successful. He was 14th and 16th 2011-12. not a hater just a realist
