Washing out a stain on your hockey jersey.

Hydrogen peroxide. The brown bottle kind available in any drug store for $2-$4. For disinfecting open wounds. It's the secret cleaning element that the big cleaning companies don't want you to know about.

Just put a dab on the spot, let it soak for a few seconds, and rub it out with a damp cloth. Rinse and repeat if needed. It's bad for your fingers, of course, but it's diluted enough to avoid severe damage.

I use it everywhere, esp. for carpet stains, and it gets almost everything out. Better than any other 'stain remover' i've seen. And... Cheap!
