Lonny_Bohonos_14
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger Canucks announce re-signing of goalie, Eddie Lack. 2 years.$650 000/$85,000 and then $850,000 http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=403945 The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed goaltender Eddie Lack to a two-year extension. The 24-year-old Lack appeared in 46 games with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League last season, finishing with 21 wins, 20 losses and three ties. The native of Norrtalje, SWE, finished the season with a 2.31 goals-against average, ranking him ninth in the AHL in that category. In five Calder Cup playoff games last season, he posted a 2.17 GAA to rank seventh among AHL goaltenders in the playoffs. Lack was originally signed by the Canucks as a free agent on April 6, 2010. Less than I thought he would get.
nd84
Good stuff! He will be Schneids' back-up unless MG decides to sign a UFA after trading Luongo. Or perhaps a back-up will be going the other way in the Lu trade
Canuck or Die
Hell yes! I wonder where he will be playing though. Back up to Schneider, or back to the AHL? Maybe this is a sign Luongo will soon be gone.
Virt 'n Kass
Thank goodness. Was getting worried he would head to Sweden. He'll be Schneids' backup in 2013, after another season in the AHL.
kanucks1
One more year in the AHL because we can't have to rookie goalies. In rookie i mean Schneiders first year as a starter.
firestorm238
Will he be an RFA or UFA at the end of this new contract?
TOMapleLaughs
So much for that 'decision in 2 days or else' scenario that 1130 put out there, eh? @FailNews1130

Garrison
He is good enough to be a back-up now but when we look at goalies, patience is a virtue. Goalies such as Schneider and Howard spent tons of time in the AHL and they both developed amazingly. Others such as Mason who was rushed, flopped. So in other words another year in the AHL would serve him well.
