On that note, I'd love to see Johnny Canuck fully exploited with a full-on Johnny Canuck mascot. Imagine, if you will, a mean looking lumberjack, swinging his axe, right behind the opposing team's bench. We've all seen the great, inspirational Johnny Canuck videos... it's time to bring that inspiration to the arena. No offense to our big, blubbery mascot, but I'd argue it's time to retire Fin. In fact, in Game 1, Fin should come onto the ice, followed by Johnny Canuck, who slices him in half with his axe, followed by some fancy slogan from the centre-ice clock, like 'Time to play Nasty!'
