John Stewart said it best, I think he was on the Bill O'Rielly show at the time, but he said basically Fox news had a great business plan for partisan news, and then MSNBC came along and tried to copy it. It's so true... and so cute...

But EVERYONE knows you have a huge spectrum of partisan reporting in US news and the two end points are Fox vs MSNBC... so hehe seriously dude, try following CNN at least, or PBS, or ABC, or.... really, anything OTHER then Fox or MSNBC :P cause those two are both well known and well made fun for being the extreme on either side.

I only followed MSNBC and Fox today for the comedy. It's hilarious seeing the bias being constantly yelled from both networks.

I'm just going continue to stick with BBC, Aljazeera, and the Globe and Mail.

The nonsensical ballot measure in Michigan to stop the new bridge (that we're funding) from being built (thanks Ambassador douchebag owners) is failing badly.

I'm pretty sure the only state where polls are still open is Alaska. (I could be wrong)

You are.

Initiative legalizing marijuana passing early

Web Reporter Q13 FOX News Online
8:36 p.m. PST, November 6, 2012

SEATTLE—Initiative 502, a measure legalizing marijuana for adults, was passing by 56 percent (831,928 votes) to 43 percent (652,274 votes) Tuesday night.

More than 1,484,00 votes were counted by 8:21 p.m. Not all Washington counties had reported.

The law will take effect on Dec. 6, 30 days after the election if passed.

Six states had marijuana-related measures on the ballot Tuesday -- three to legalize recreational use; Washington's I-502, Colorado's Amendment 64 and Oregon's Measure 80. Colorado's amendment showed early leads Tuesday evening.

Under Washington's I-502, anyone over the age of 21 would be able to purchase and possess up to an ounce of marijuana, and the state would regulate and tax the sale of pot.

Those wanting to grow and sell would apply to the state for a license. Estimates are that the new pot tax would raise nearly $500 million a year, much of which would be earmarked for drug prevention and education programs.

In an interview earlier this year on “60 Minutes,” the Deputy U.S. Attorney General James Cole indicated that federal authorities could take aim at any state laws that legalize pot, saying, "We're going to take a look at whether or not there are dangers to the community from the sale of marijuana and we're going to go after those dangers."

Attorney General Eric Holder was blunter in 2010 when he threatened to "vigorously enforce" federal law if California legalized marijuana (that measure failed).

Opponents of I-502 said they believe the U.S. attorney in Seattle would seek a court injunction to stop the law in its tracks.

“It's a fantasy that the state is ever really going to have this, it's not going to be legal, it's not going to work, the federal government is going to pre-empt this thing in five minutes,” said Douglas Hiatt of the anti-502 group Sensible Washington.

But that hasn't really happened with medical marijuana, and Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes, a backer of 502, added that he believes the Feds will back off if voters make pot legal.

“I don’t think the federal government’s going to ignore a clear voter mandate from the state of Washington,” Holmes said.
Only time will tell.

Interesting Google elections now say Romney is up by about 13,000 votes in Ohio at about 80% reporting in...

edit
Not that it matters with Obama winning the entire West.

I guess the good news is if you look at the link below, most of the precincts that are still counting votes are highly populated and pretty heavily Democratic. Really nowhere for Obama to go but up:

Pot bill passed in washington. First state ever to do so, oregon turned it down. This should be interesting because they want it to be sold in stores but have no system to grow it. And federally possesion is illegal medical or not. So any stores set up can be shut down bh federal agencies and individuals can be arrested by federal agents as well. This should be interesting. A step in the right direction but i doubt this will go far

Will Romney's concession speech (if he ever gives it) be a variant of the Roberto Duran "No más, no más" concession??
