(Discussion) 3 packages for Edler, which one is the best?

I'm completley against trading Edler, but depending on what the package is I'd be willing to trade him. So which of these 3 packages would be fair value for both teams? We could get Kulikov and a 1st for Luongo and whatever else would need to be added as a replacement for Edler

1)

To Vancouver: Sean Couturier + Matt Read + 2013 1st

To Philly: Alex Edler + Chris Tanev

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows

Booth - Kesler - Kassian

Higgins - Couturier - Read

Lapierre - Malhotra - Hansen

Hamhuis - Bieksa

Kulikov - Garrison

Ballard - Connauton/UFA

Schneider

Lack

2)

To Vancouver: Jakub Voracek + Maxime Talbot + 2013 1st

To Philly: Alex Edler + Mason Raymond

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows

Booth - Kesler - Voracek

Higgins - Talbot - Hansen

Lapierre - Malhotra - Volpatti

3)

To Vancouver: Evander Kane + Mark Stuart

To Winnipeg: Alex Edler + David Booth + 2013 2nd

Sedin - Sedin - Kane

Burrows - Kesler - Kassian

Higgins - Schroeder - Hansen

Volpatti - Malhotra - Lapierre

Hamhuis - Bieksa

Kulikov - Garrison

Stuart - Tanev

(not a bad defense without Edler)

Schneider

Lack

Anything that needs to be added/taken away?

I would do the 2nd one but ONLY if Dimitri Kulikov's rights come as part of the deal for Lu. If not, I'll pass (esp. not the 1st deal:

Hamhuis - Bieksa

Ballard - Garrison

Alberts - Sauve?

Would be the D-group, and the team would have quite the surplus of forwards; also wouldn't do the 3rd one, I think we overpay)

I think the three teams would most likely be PHI, TBL, or WIN. It's already been reported that TBL has inquired about Edler.

Proposal 1:

Van:

Purcell, 1st

TBL:

Edler

Proposal 2:

Van:

Kane

Win:

Edler, 2nd

Proposal 3:

Van:

Read, Meszaros

PHI:

Edler

I like 2 or 3, but I don't want to see Edler go.

Well, we are trading Raymond in the second deal, so I would do the second deal :P

Just kidding, I actually think Raymond has a lot of potential to do well in the future, but it would be nice if he was replaced by Voracek...and if people are worrying about replacing Edler, in the first two deals we have a 1st rounder in a very very deep draft, so we could easily flip the 1st rounder (along with another trading chip) for a top 4 d-man)

I like those deals But maybe a trade with Florida?

I don't know if this is good but

Van

Edler

Luongo

Rodin

1st

Fla

Gudbranson

Versteeg

Matthias

That could get them to start talking if not yet can accept it

I think the first trade is a good start but I have a couple problems with it...

First I'm not 100% sold on read I would rather try to get simmonds. He's signed long term and is a real gamer. The type of guy u win with in the playoffs. They can keep the 1st if they give us him

Second I don't wanna get rid of tanev in this deal.. Reason being, if we're going to package Lu for a young stud defenseman to replace edler, tanev would be alot more valuable in the Lu deal... I would think Philly would rather get a young forward prospect to replace the 2 they're giving up. That's why I suggest Schroeder, he's NHL ready and they could use a center prospect with top six upside going back if they give up 2 good young forwards
