Kevin Weekes may be a likeable guy in person. But he goes speechless too often in key situations and glorious moments. Remember Alex Edler's end-to-end goal? All he could muster was... [silence] ho ho ho...wow....[more silence]...

I use to hate Kevin Weekes and I am still not a fan of him, but he has gotten better at choosing his words and is less annoying to listen to than before.. probably because he is a breath of fresh air compared to Mark Lee.

I used to love Canucks games on CBC on Saturday nights before. Now with Mark Lee, Kevin Weekes, Ron MacLean, etc. it is unwatchable.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Canucks games on CBC are awesome with Jim Hughson. Terrible with everyone else.

Can't really knock CBC. They don't make the NHL schedule. There is only one Saturday Canuck game they aren't broadcasting and that is because it has a start time that doesn't fit their model.
Hockey is the only sport, the rest are just games.

Hate CBC. Makes our games un-watchable. Defiantly against the Prairie teams. Kevein Weekes was a bad goalie, he is a worst commentator. He makes me want to kill myself with his dullness.

And you're the worst speller. Point?

RIP to the BEST pound for pound fighter the NHL has ever seen. Will be missed.

have to agree with most. the less games broadcast by the cbc the better. personally i hate almost the whole team leading with Don the dinosaur and his hand puppet Ron (i use to be a ref)Mclean. 15 is even to many, but they know when the playoffs role around they won't be showing the leafs so.......

jimmy is the only bright spot.

I quoted this so that people might read it again.

Mark Lee is tone deaf and I can hear him through the mute.

The ONLY thing that draws me to CBC is Jim Hughson. When I turn on the game and hear Mark Lee I:

1) Mute
2) Try broadcasting myself (better than Lee)
3) Reminisce about Jim Hughson calling Canuck games
4) Cry softly
5) Turn on the volume to yell at Ron McLean during intermission
6) Leave volume on by mistake; Mark Lee comes back
7) Vomit and cry
8) Start watching baseball

TSN and Sportsnet should take over ALL Canuck broadcasts. Leave the East to watch Bob Cole and Don Cherry talk to stools.... * +1 for Eastwood reference * :bigblush:

Looks like all the whiners who hate the CBC will get their wish (at least partially).

A schedule? How's there a schedule if there isn't even going to be a season?

Sad but true.
