I've always loved the Wild's jerseys, not the one with "Minnesota" written all over, but the bear-thingie; such a cool jersey!

Pun intended?

Not originally, but once I realized what I had done I posted it anyways.

I don't know what some of you people are talking about, those jerseys (not to mention their logo) are gorgeous.

I just don't like the red & green colour combo. I didn't like it on the original Devils' jersey either.

Here is my list:

1: Chicago (by far)
2. Boston
3. Montreal
4. St. Louis
5. Detroit
6. Winnepeg
7. New York Rangers
8. LA
9. Toronto
10. Carolina

Reason the Canucks aren't on the list is because I don't really like the away jersey.

Their 3rd jersey is just as good if not better.

I guess it's a matter of oppinon. But for me, i'm not even a fan of green. For me its 2 thumbs down.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

combine results.  Ehlers 5'11 162 lbs of solid rock.

I must be one of the few that prefers the orca to the skate.

The Canucks jersey have always ranked pretty low, especially those god-awful blue-red orca ones. There's nothing wrong with being middle of the pack, as most of the consensus "best jerseys" are classics, i.e. Detroit, Montreal, New York, and Chicago.

The Canucks should learn from these teams and stop changing their jerseys seemingly every other season.

Lol at no Chicago (who have arguably the best), and the inclusion of Columbus in the top 10.
We are about where we should be though.

I actually wouldn't mind buying Minnesota's third jersey. I wouldn't wear it of course but I would hang it up some where.

As for my top 10,

1) Chicago
2) Detroit
3) Montreal
4) NY Rangers
5) Boston
6) LA (best home jersey's IMO)
7) Tampa
8) Pittsburgh
9) Minnesota (third jersey)
10) Colorado

And I would love to see how the skate jersey would look right now.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

Jersey's don't win games, so it really doesn't matter. As long as we remain a contending team, I'm happy.

IMO, the Chicago Blackhawks Winter Classic Jersey is the nicest looking jersey since they switched to Reeboks.

Coolest full uniforms out there is hands down Brampton Battalion.. They all look like army men with sticks hahaha

As much as I hate Chicago they should be in the top 3. I also really like the oilers since they've brought back the orange.

It used to be Black Hawks back in the day, I guess they went back to it for the jersey to make it more retro.

I stopped reading after I noticed that CBJ was in the top 10. Does anyone at ESPN even watch hockey or did they just see the red, white and blue and choose it based on that. Then gave each other high fives and yelled yee-haw!

they probably rated the third jersey for cbj wich is blue with white shoulders and has the civil war cannon on the front i think its the best looking jersey in the league

I know which one you're talking about. Whenever I play CBJ in NHL12 Be a GM, I change their jersey to that one. But top 10?
I'm saying Aladeen a lot because http://forum.canucks...dpost__10922428

I bet when Schneider turns 38, he will have broken all of Luongo's records.

I don't get why people like the Skate jerseys.. it's by far one of the ugliest jerseys the Canucks have ever had. I much prefer the blue and green, and the orca. It's so much more West Coast. I'd put the orca ahead of the blue and green stick in rink one, too. The stick in rink is just too plain.

http://www.vancitybu...power-rankings/

Free Willy, the beloved Orca whale that is on our teams jersey, was ranked the 17th best jersey in the NHL. The number one spot went to the Montreal Canadiens and rightfully so. It’s clean, crisp and has history and tradition behind it. On the other hand, our logo and uniforms seems to go through an identity crisis every five years. There is even talk of bringing in the Vancouver Millionaires jersey as a future third jersey.

Free Willy! The problem here isn’t the Orca logo, which has actually developed a little bit of gravitas after 15 years (can you believe it’s been that long?). The problem is the city name, which doesn’t belong on the jersey and needs to go.

The top NHL jersey’s according to ESPN:
  • Montreal Canadiens
  • Boston Bruins
  • New York Rangers
  • Detroit Redwings
  • Philadelphia Flyers
  • Toronto Maple Leafs
  • Pittsburgh Penguins
  • Minnesota Wild
  • Columbus Blue Jackets
  • New Jersey Devils
With that being said, what would you do to modify our jersey's?
Who would be your top 10?

what does ESPN Know?????

Technically the name was always "Blackhawks" but along they way people split the name into two words forming "Black Hawks". In 1986 the team came out and formalized the name as being one word - "Blackhawks".

The team founder named them after his "Blackhawk" infantry division he commanded in WWI. The division itself was nicknamed after Chief Black Hawk of Sauk Nation.

That my Canucks friends is your Blackhawks trivia for the day.

Just don't change the Canucks colour scheme ... I just finished painting my rec room blue and white with a green chair railing going through the centre (also bought the 80-inch television for hockey ... bar goes in this fall). I would hate to have to repaint already.

lol, no Chicago (which in my mind is one of the nicest sweaters in the league, even though I hate the craphawks), and the inclusion of CBJ and Minnesota is laughable.

The original 6 teams have iconic jerseys, and deserve to be there.

Sorry, but, the Wild jerseys are hideous mostly because of the color combination. It looks like a faded, old-fashioned Santa costume.

And the Bruins logo makes no sense. A spoked wheel with a B in it? What the heck does that have to do with a bear?

The Columbus Blue Jackets logo looks like it was peeled off the poster of a US political campaign. It's nice, but, has no context.

The LA Kings should be on that list. Their black-and-white jerseys and logo are very cool, sleek and modern, and Jonathan Swift's goalie mask last season was bad-ass.

Canucks jerseys have improved a LOT since those hideous Halloween colors they started with. The blue and green are much nicer and the orca logo perfectly suits Vancouver and its First Nations heritage. The simpler C logo with the hockey stick is clever, but, was visually confusing to a lot of people who compared it to a TV screen. I love the Johnny Canuck image and would love to see them use that on a 3rd jersey more prominently.

That ESPN list seems to favor the older clubs and was obviously created by someone who has little fashion sense or an eye for design.

Not that I particularly care about lists such as these, but, anyone who would rate Columbus or Minnesota's jerseys in the top 10 is high, or stupid, or both. Those have to be the two of the ugliest jerseys in the league, along with Carolina and Nashville. And I hate Chicago, but, their jerseys are way better than the aforementioned.

Agree with the stick in the rink being too plain, the skate however is classic and gorgeous. Excluding the salmon colored alternates in 1995 and the pre-1990 yellow home jersey.

I think the Minnesota logo is clever, but I've never liked the overall look of the sweater, especially the green ones. Maybe I'd appreciate it more if it had some snow-capped accents. I don't know.

1. Montreal
2. Chicago
3. Boston

It's hard to separate the love for the sweater from the nostalgia of the great players who have worn it. If the 80s Oilers had never been champs, I'd probably have them at the bottom, but instead they're probably #10 or so for me.

Vancouver is middle of the pack. I'm glad they finally ditched the red striping (late 90s stuff). The roads are a little dull, because all you notice is the terrible 'Vancouver' wording and the corporate logo.

On a related note, my team is debuting brand new sweaters tonight. I think they are awesome. B)
