-Vintage Canuck-
Weber’s contract doesn’t have a no-trade clause: Save for anytime next season, the Nashville Predators are free to trade Shea Weber. Weber’s agent, Jarrett Bousquet, tells Josh Cooper of The Tennessean that Weber’s 14-year, $110 million contract has been registered with the NHL and, as expected, does not include a no-trade or no-movement clause. When a team matches an offer sheet for a restricted free agent, as the Preds did to keep their captain from joining the Flyers, the rules state that the player cannot be traded the following season. Once the moratorium is over, however, Weber won’t be able to block a trade. We hear the Flyers, Red Wings and Canucks have some interest. http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/05/confirmed-webers-contract-doesnt-have-a-no-trade-clause/

D.Doughty
If we trade Weber they will ask for Edler. Do you want to give up Edler, our cornerstone on d who will probably be 2-2.5 mil cheaper or Weber....
