- Moore on Nazzy. So much disaster afterwords. Nazzy was never the same.
- McSorely's clubbing of Brash. Shameful.
- Messier on Linden. Great example of leadership there Mess.

I can't believe nobody through two pages has said the Steve Smith mugging of Pavel Bure which essentially destroyed Bure's knee and began his injury problems (I couldn't find a video).

McSorley-Brashear was a fairly close second, with Moore-Naslund being third for me...

Anyways, this one for some reason REALLY got to me..

He was just protecting himself right ? I mean, Salo was coming at blazing speed, I guess.

I don't remember it that way. I remember it as being a pretty routine hit with disastrous results. I could be wrong though.

Watch Bowness somehow mess up Tampa Bay's already amazing 2 powerplay units...he'll probably tell Stamkos to do drop passes from centre ice, take him out from the faceoff dot, and place him infront of the goalie

Haha, Mayray's awesome. That's what truly protecting yourself looks like, vs ducking a random D-man who doesn't have the puck.

The Moore on Naslund one got me pretty mad, but it has to go to Marchand on Salo.

Is that Gragnani ambling across to have a wee "look" at Eager.................he is definitely no loss to our team.......disgraceful.

It's Ehrhoff, he's actually featured in more than one video in this thread doing nothing.

The worst hit in my opinion was Moore on Naslund. Moore is clearly trying to knock Naslund out with a headshot (had tried on the previous face-off as well) and while he didn't deserve his fate he certainly deserved to face the music. I was in Classic Jacks pub in Calgary when that happened and even the Flames fans were mad about that hit.

Hmmm, I could be wrong. And the fact that nobody else remembers it the way I do probably speaks to that. However, I remember Smith chasing Bure (not that that was unusual) for the entire shift, finally getting his hands on Pavel as he rounded the net, and basically horse-collar tackling him from behind. Bure fell backwards, pinning his leg under him, as far as I remember. For years I hated Steve Smith as a result.

In fairness, I was a HUUUUUGE Bure fan, though, so my opinion of the hit would likely be different if it hadn't been my favourite player and also if I wasn't 15 at the time.

What really pisses me off here is that no one went after Marchand hard for that!

I mean Kesler could have dropped the gloves and gone right after Marchand, but no.

All I know is if I was in the ice, I would have beat the crap out of Marchand!!

What you forget is that the refs jump in the way every time someone performs a completely illegal hit. They insulate players from repercussions for the dirty crap they pull. That's why the role of "enforcer" has disappeared and "rat" has blossomed.

The reality is Marchand is collecting the future consequences of his dirty play like they were air miles. As soon as a player with a beef sees him pinned against the boards, battling for the puck, they'll rush him and make sure their knee puts his sideways. He'll probably never walk again without a cane after that. It's rough, and I don't think there's a Canuck that would be the one to do it now that Torres is gone, but he's earned it and it'll happen relatively soon.

Until then, PK Subban's hit is easily my favourite hit ever. That crap gets me up in the morning.

The Rats low hip bullcrap on Sedin and Salo.

Keith and his dirty hit on Daniel.

Moore on Naslund.

Messier on Linden.

Those 5 are just ridiculous. They all were game changing to say the least.

Not even going to mention the Rat punching Daniel seeing as that was a complete joke.

The Marchand on Salo hit made me feel ill. I had soooo much outrage bottled up. It wasn't just the cheap shot, but also the fact it was on Salo who should have a serious amount of respect around the league.

AV said then (and it's the truth!) that Marchand will get it some day. Doesn't need to be a Canuck giving it...but...one day, someone will push back on this little puke. I don't want to see Bertuzzi 2.0 on him, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone really fed it to him.

This actually pissed me off a lot. Not because it was drity or anything that he was allowed to do it and everyone was saying Thomas did the right thing and was being praised for doing it.

Man if Luongo did that and played like that, imagine how much heat would he have gotten!

I can't wait till TB plays the Bruins. Think Marchand would have the guts to try something like this again when Salo will have Ohlund, Hedman, Malone, and Lecavlier by his side?! No way, if he does he's going to get murdered

But man can't wait till we play the Bruins again with Kassian on our team! I'm so pumped for Kassian, hope he f'n kills Marchand and Lucic. Kassian is going to be a fan favourite for this team very soon.

Also BS. If Henrik steamrolled Thomas, he would have been in the box or suspended. Thomas got nothing for doing the exact same thing.

Again, a poorly officiated series.

So many on the Sedins are terrible. Marchands hits on Sedins, Salo. Keith's.

Raymond getting his back broken and Boston fan's saying he was just trying to get a call.

I wouldn't have been able to tell you it was Smith, but the way I remember it, Pavel got pinned up against the boards awkwardly behind the net. Basically, his knee got pinned up against the boards by the other guy's knee.

At least, that's how I remember it.

We need a guy like Messier, who is willing to purposely injure another player to win and feel no remorse about it.
