Common sense
Nothing new here - it was even reported last year, as far as I remember http://www.chinapost.com.tw/taiwan/national/national-news/2011/05/26/303776/Bubble-tea.htm

Brad Marchand
I'll admit to liking bubble tea, but reading this makes me feel glad that I don't have it more than a few times a year. Everything in moderation, I guess.
Ghostsof1915
I tried it once, didn't really see the big deal. I guess I'm doomed now.

SukhKular
I don't get it. It tastes half-decent. Not worth the price and bubbles or pearls or whatever detract from the taste rather than add to. Without them, it's really just a crappy smoothie. If someone said to me: Yummy hot french fries in your mouth cause cancer, I'd cry. But something that doesn't taste great to being with? Who cares? Armada
Love thy bubble Tea. Used to have it with Tapioca pearls all the time but I recently switched over to Mango jelly.
