this should be his max. contract:

a 3 month contract worth 2 dollars

As much as we dislike him, the kid can play hockey. He has a poor attitude and seems intent on harming others, but also has the skill and speed to score goals. He desperately needs to correct his game a la Matt Cooke, otherwise he could find himself in trouble in the future.

Unfortunately, I'll have to use these highlights as evidence of his scoring prowess:

Marchand to us = Burrows to the rest of the league.
If you can honestly say you wouldn't want him on our team you're just being bitter.

Could not agree any more!

One of those players you'd love to have, but hate to play against. Torres, SOB, Steve Ott, Burrows, Lapierre, Kesler are just the same.

The difference is Marchand plays a style that resembles Matt Cooke often whereas Burrows generally has never played recklessly enough to risk a serious injury to a player.

I'd like to see him on a team without the likes of Chara, Thor and Lucic. He'd get the snot beaten out of him.

Burrows never concussed someone with a dirty clipping. I do agree that they have the same style, but Marchand is dirty, you can see that he wants to hurt some players he doesn't like. I'm still a Canucks fan and hate the Bruins, so I understand the other opinions.

We wouldn't be hating on him much if he played for us the entire time, haha.

wow if Marchand makes that much, then how much would RFA's Rask, Lucic, SEGUIN (these 3 in particular) and UFA Horton (plus they wouldn't want to be without a backup, so I'm guessing they'll sign Khudobin) and Ference ask for combined? All are free agents next off season.

I wouldn't mind burying him in 4.5 million... little blocks of cheese that is. With his volatile style of play and how prone he is to getting hit (both due to his tendency to lug the puck at high speeds, and also as a result of his cheap, dangerous plays) I wonder whether he can actually stay healthy and suspension-free long enough to still be an impact player (I'll suspect he gets jumped before he's suspended though).

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Jesus LOVES YOU!
2012, meet Matthew 24:36-47!

14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Guys, you always talk about how Burrows is your saviour but you don't realize the rest of the league feels about that petulant POS Alex Burrows the way you do about Brad Marchand.

People don't like Marchand for his antics, yet they still like Bertuzzi? ;)

There is a difference between an agitator and a player that goes and tries to intentionally injure a player.

Good for him. Probably my favourite player in the league, just for the reactions he gets from Canucks fans.

The guy scores 25-30 goals and is one of our most consistent players. There is no way he is getting anything less than $4-4.5 a year.

The guy scores 25 goals a year playing with the Sedin twins.

Bitz had 3 points in a game playing with the twins. Just saying.

Wow. Statistical fail. It's called sample size. By your logic, someone who scores a hat trick in a game with the Sedins is set for a 246 goal season.

He is easily the most consistent player with the Sedins. Before him we had a revolving door for the players with them.

Everyone says that he is held by the Sedins but if you look at all his clutch goals, most of them are done without a Sedin assist. They also became elite players when he joined their line. Before that they were good but not elite like they are now. People need to give the guy some credit.

Not to mention team leading in short handed goals (no Sedins there).
