Man, even though Minnesota left, the West is as tough as ever.

Anaheim and Vancouver look to be vastly improved teams. Edmonton and LA are still as good as ever. And I'm still kicking in there near the top as well. Tight!

Burke, good game. The Chicago-Vancouver rival seems to be alive as ever. A tight 4-3 OT win for the Hawks (Toews blowing past that pylon Weber to put in the rebound)!

Although it's early, Toews is off to a great start. GM H2 had this to say regarding his performance.

"Jonathan Toews is a guy that can do it all. Even when we had a weaker offence last year, he still put up 76 points. And when we finally played to our potential (offensively) during the playoffs, it's no surprise that he carried the entire team on his back. Toews is playing unbelievable right now, and you gotta credit a lot of that on his chemistry with Benn, and the great passing by newcomer Dan Hamhuis. Look for Toews to be up for the Art Ross, Rocket Richard, Selke, and Ted Lindsay this year."

Ducks are good.

Also.... Anyone else want to complain about how the hitting sliders are? Yea I get it, im new to this league. But damn, getting tapped from behind whilst mid-rush, open-ice, ends up being Scott Stevens-like.

The Vancouver Canucks and Ducks are tied for first in the West. Shea Weber leading all Defensemen in goals with 5!!! He's an animal. Cannot stop his point shot! Daniel, leading the Canucks with 7 goals, 2nd in the league. Canucks looking strong early. Gm Burke made the correct moves in the off-season. Rookie Morgan Klemchuk, already showing poise. Netting a 2 goal game, and another one near after. Kids got game, clicking with the Brassard and Bourque line.

Had some chances, but I couldn't solve Bernier. Probably should have been 1-0 hahaha I gave up defense at the end there to try and score. -_- We'll meet again.

Don't write off Eric Staal, with 6 goals and 7 assists in 6 games. Or Martin St. Louis with 7 goals and 5 assists in 7 games boys.

Hawks back on top, Toews co-leading the league with 7-7-14 in 8 games.

Burke can we get the GM of the year poll up before this season is done? :P

I have a good idea for it. Do a few polls using divisions, top 2 in each division go through. Then do it by conference with the remaining 12, top 2 move on from each conference. Final poll with the final 4 so you get the winner, 2nd, 3rd, and honourable mention. Decent system? We should get this up ASAP.

I would also like to thank the majority of you for being active. I can see we have a solid group of people this season. I am sorry I had to remove so many, and Winnipeg, and Columbus are the last two, whom I think are least active; outside of that...everyone I think is active. So if we can add more players, we'll have a great group of peeps. Looking forwards to this season!! Canucks making a run for the cup!!

So is advancing it Wednesday still a good time for everyone? I do not care, just want to get an idea. I only have one game left, which Toronto should be ready any time to play. I guess my point is on a normal scheduling, it'll be Weds/Sat latest; however, obviously if everyone finishes their games we can advance it, no point waiting for the sake of waiting. Just trying to get an idea on where everyone is at, no need to panic.

I'd say just advance on Wednesday since we have already rushed everything to get to the season and already have simmed the 1st week.

I'd like to request a change in our advancement periods.

Last season tool quite awhile to finish and I feel if I can finish my games with in 48 hours than Most of us can.

My request: change it from Wednesday/Saturday to every 2 days or 48 hours

I have no problem with this request. I think we are all active enough to get our games done within 48 hrs. What does everyone else think?

Looking to package David Rundbland (79) 4 stars potential or 4.5, Mikal Bodker (79) 4 stars potential. Looking to acquire a first line player perferably a winger. Also Zebnk Michalek (86) on the block great dman at a very reasonable caphit.

I do think this idea of advancing it every couple days is a good idea. When should we advance it next? Moreover, Toronto...when you want to battle?
