The team apparently wasn't all that bothered by the noise and got to sleep in today.

Maybe that was the problem. They looked lethargic the whole game.

Oh no..3rd in the group heading into the last two games in October, against Cuba and Honduras. Cuba should be easy, hopefully, as they are 0-0-4 already. But Honduras is the team we're battling for the 2nd spot for.

+1 this post!

Costly defeat. Just an awful game all around.

Once again, they put up a stinker when it mattered.

They were playing for a draw - I can't help but feel that was part of it. It's basically conceding defeat, and Canada's soccer teams do it far too often. It makes for slow, lethargic games, when the team should playing for a needed win.

Let's blame this on the noise terrorists.

No.

Let's blame it on a lacklustre, uninspired effort when it mattered most. A win in Panama would have meant qualification for the next round, for sure. Not mathematically, but, in spirit.

An absolutely dreadful performance across the board. Always too much space between backs and midfield, midfield and forward(s). Playing wide is great if there is support on the ball. When you are making 15... 20... 30 yard passes all the time, it is easy to move shape defensively. Canada needs to find a coach who preaches attacking, quick ball-moving football. Then again, maybe the technical ability is not there to play this style.

De Rosario out 10-12 weeks with MCL sprain. That puts him out of the final two qualifier matches :(

This is a HUGE smack in the face. Our most creative, offensively-minded player gone.

Well, only 2 goals allowed in qualifying. Maybe we beat Cuba 1-0 and look for a draw against Honduras? If we steal a win from Honduras, we could still win the group. Unlikely, but, possible!
