Lockout Protest Day

Won't do much. I'll be watching a lot more WHL games live, and hopefully on TV, and following the NFL more closely.

Hopefully we get more CHL games on TV in the event of a lockout.

It's too hard to give up, it's a great idea but I just can't go without NHL news, discussion and other stuff for that long.

Id boycott going to Canuck games since I'm a cheapass but I will still following the NHL and cheer on my team.

It's a lockout, not some unethical oppression. There's no need to do something unnessacary because they're trying to figure out a financial system.

How does Bettman still have a job in the NHL. This could be 3 times under his watch that there would be a lockout, and i don't want a repeat of 04-05. I barley made it out alive.

Just start a fire Bettman petition, let the players know the fans are on their side. Best thing to boycott at this point is NHL 13, that will be their sole revenue if there is a lock out.

We should all start following the KHL instead, that'll hurt a lot more.

I'd love to boycott, but I think it would be impossible for me to ignore the NHL completely once the season starts.

Sorry but I'm going to checking this website probably everyday until Luongo is traded, and if there's a lockout it could take until next "offseason"

Terrible idea.

I will never boycott the Canucks.

and/or the NHL.

Well the players are making how much more and the NHL is worth how much more since he came in?

Not to overly defend, I don't like him, but I can easily see how he has a job.

It seems as though the lockout is going to be standard procedure at the end of any CBA.

I know that it won't do much, but I'm going to do whatever I can do personally to not condone this kind of bargaining tactic - I want both the NHL and NHLPA to stop taking the fans for granted and stop assuming that 'we'll be here no matter what'.

I'm going to stop supporting the NHL on September 15 (including visiting NHL.com and Canucks.com), and will do so for twice as long as the lockout elapses.

I know one person can't do much, but maybe if the parties were actually scared of losing fans, they might negotiate more "efficiently".

What do you think? Are you on board? Good idea? Bad idea?
