1. [3,2] B.J. Crommington, C/LW (Seattle Thunderbirds, WHL)

72 GP | 43-86-129

Talented playmaking center with great wheels and unbelievable hockey IQ. Tremendous creativity with the puck. Defensive play is nearly non-existent and B.J. needs to bulk up before he's ready for the pro game.

Scouts #1 & 2: First line center, more talented version of David Krejci.

2. [5,6] Gary Lee, LD (Kingston Frontenacs, OHL)

70 GP | 8-30-38

Smooth skating shutdown defenseman with some offensive upside. Is ready for the NHL now.

Scout #1: Top-4 defenseman, more talented version of Adam Pardy.

Scout #2: Top pairing defenseman, more talented version of Adam Pardy.

3. [7,3] Sunny Smith, G (Lethbridge Hurricanes, WHL)

47 GP | 29-13-1-2.27 GAA-.917 Sv%

Gigantic goaltender with well-refined technical abilities. Skating and puckhandling are very poor. Nonetheless, one of the most promising goaltending prospects in years.

Scouts #1 & 2: Starting goaltender

4. [1,1] Marc-Antoine McKay, C (London Knights, OHL)

66 GP | 40-45-85

Well-rounded center who can burn opposing teams in multiple ways. Phenomenal skater and an incredibly hard worker. Upside has come into question after failing to improve on his rookie season.

Scouts #1 & 2: First line center, more talented version of Frans Nielsen.

5. [8,4] Bernie Armstrong, C/LW (Saginaw Spirit, OHL)

67 GP | 36-59-95

Defensive power forward who emerged as a legitimate offensive threat this season. Very aggressive and in-your-face, though he tends to make strange decisions with the puck. Despite gaudy numbers, scouts question his offensive upside at the next level.

Scouts #1 & 2: Top-6 center, more talented version of Mike Fisher.

6. [6,5] Bob Singh, G (Kootenay Ice, WHL)

57 GP | 29-22-4-2.89 GAA-.903Sv%

Another gigantic goaltender with fantastic hand speed. Skating and puckhandling are passable but nothing special. Positioning and reflexes are decent but Bob needs seasoning before he's ready for the pro game.

Scouts #1 & 2: Starting goaltender

7. [2,7] Markus Kovasyuk, LW (Vancouver Giants, WHL)

61 GP | 46-45-91

Tremendously talented offensive winger who gives his all every night. Arguably one of the smartest players in the draft. Useless defensively and skating is hardly NHL quality. Needs to bulk a lot before he makes it to the pros.

Scouts #1 & 2: Top-6 forward, more talented version of Zac Dalpe.

8. [13,11] Johnny Karjalainen, LW (Karpat, SM-liiga)

49 GP | 22-17-39

Speedy well-rounded playmaking winger who has climbed into top-10 discussion. Hard worker and strong on his skates. No glaring weaknesses in his game, though his game may not have much room to grow.

Scouts #1 & 2: Top-6 forward, like Jussi Jokinen.

9. [10,8] Eric Pietersma, C (Barrie Colts, OHL)

64 GP | 42-45-87

Speedy well-rounded center who compares to McKay minus the hockey IQ. Needs to improve on faceoffs or switch to the wing at the pro level to be successful. Very raw and years away from being ready despite impressive numbers.

Scouts #1 & 2: Top-6 center, more talented version of Mike Santorelli.

10. [23,18] Andreas Miller, LW/C (Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, QMJHL)

63 GP | 29-36-65

Playmaking power forward with a deadly wristshot. Started slow this season but adjusted to the North American game as the season went on. Poor defensively and skating could use some work.

Scouts #1 & 2: Top-6 winger, bigger version of Alex Tanguay.

11. [16,16] Djibril Poirier, LD (Saginaw Spirit, OHL)

61 GP | 7-14-21

Mobile defenseman with fantastic positioning. Rest of his game is very raw, though scouts believe that he'll be a force if/when he puts it all together.

Scout #1: Top pairing defenseman

Scout #2: Top-4 defenseman

12. [11,10] Jonathan Duchesne, LD (Sarnia Sting, OHL)

70 GP | 10-30-40

Big, strong two-way defenseman with a good shot. Very raw and skating needs some work.

Scouts #1 & 2: Top-6 defenseman

13. [22,14] Morgan Lundell, C (MODO, SEL / MODO J20, S20-1)

13 GP | 2-3-5 / 31 GP | 25-38-63

Swedish center who broke out in a big way offensively after looking like a bit of a project before the season. Very talented goal scorer and playmaker. Decent skater though top speed needs to be improved. Hockey IQ is average.

Scouts #1 & 2: First line center, like Patrik Elias.

14. [15,9] Kenny Frajdin, LW/RW (Lulea, SEL)

21 GP | 4-4-8

Strong, speedy playmaking winger with a very good wristshot. Above-average hockey IQ and defensive play.

Scout #1: First line winger, like Jamie Benn.

Scout #2: Top-6 winger, poor man's Jamie Benn.

15. [12,13] Seneque Carignan, LD/RD (Owen Sound Attack, OHL)

67 GP | 4-24-28

Big, strong, physical shutdown defenseman with a mean streak. Skating and hockey IQ are average and he'll never be a scorer at the next level. Upside is somewhat questionable.

Scout #1: Bottom-4 enforcer, like Luke Schenn.

Scout #2: Top-4 enforcer, more talented version of Luke Schenn.

16. [9,12] Milorad Pouliot, C (Victoria Royals, WHL)

59 GP | 8-11-19

Expected to have a breakout season for the Royals, Pouliot was a tremendous disappointment. However, scouts have remained optimistic on his potential. Speedy and hard-working, but very raw.

Scouts #1 & 2: Third line center, like Adam Henrique.

17. [18,17] Ernie Beauchamp, C (Windsor Spitfires, OHL)

52 GP | 30-45-75

Playmaking center with incredible wheels. Decent checking forward; great at faceoffs. Hockey IQ, work ethic and puck possession skills are all below-average which could prevent him from being an impact player at the next level.

Scouts #1 & 2: Third line center, poor man's David Krejci.

18. [42,40] Maxime Moir, G (Sudbury Wolves, OHL)

59 GP | 41-11-6-2.24 GAA-.911 Sv%

Incredibly agile goaltender with amazing reflexes. Hand speed, positioning and puck-handling are good but need to continue improving. Has an uphill battle due to lack of size (5'7").

Scouts #1 & 2: Fringe starting goaltender, like Jhonas Enroth.

19. [14,15] Boris Mikhailov, LD (Ak Bars, MHL)

35 GP | 5-4-9

Gigantic defenseman and an amazing skater for his size. Very good defensive defenseman and one of the hardest hitters in all of hockey. Offensive ability is very limited. Hasn't progressed as much as you would hope in the last couple years.

Scout #1: Bottom pairing enforcer, like Boris Valabik.

Scout #2: Top pairing defenseman, like Zdeno Chara.

20. [31,50] Chris O'Byrne, LW/RW (Seattle Thunderbirds, WHL)

69 GP | 36-72-108

Scouts have gone back and forth on O'Byrne but eventually decided that the numbers were too good to ignore. Agile winger with tremendous hockey IQ, creativity and work ethic. Will be a captain at the next level. Decent offensive tools. Very poor skater aside from the agility and terrible defensively.

Scouts #1 & 2: Top-6 winger, like Andy McDonald.

21. [28,20] Clint Elzinga, RD/LD (Mississauga St. Michael's Majors, OHL)

67 GP | 14-29-43

Offensive defenseman with a great point shot and above average skating. Not afraid to throw the body around. Defensive side of his game is coming around, but still needs improvement. Hockey IQ and puck moving ability are average.

Scout #1: Top pairing defenseman, like P.K. Subban

Scout #2: Top-4 defenseman, like Alexei Emelin.

22. [52,24] Joey Charland, C/LW (Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, QMJHL)

70 GP | 32-43-75

Possibly the big top line pivot that every team covets. Hard working, well-rounded center with decent skating ability. Hockey IQ is a little below average and he's somewhat raw.

Scout #1: Second line center, no comparable.

Scout #2: Third line center, no comparable.

23. [4,19] Simon Fullerton, LD (Saint John Sea Dogs, QMJHL)

62 GP | 17-18-35

Scouts anticipated a big season from Fullerton after his first two seasons in the Q, but Simon appears to have regressed offensively. Originally considered an offensive defenseman, he has become more of a two-way puck mover. Skating and hockey IQ are average at best.

Scouts #1 & 2: Bottom pairing defenseman, no comparable.

24. [56,52] Kellan Hughman III, C/LW/RW (Sudbury Wolves, OHL)

63 GP | 26-51-77

Gigantic well-rounded center who had an unexpectedly solid rookie season in the OHL. Doesn't have any stand-out skills. Below-average skater and not a great passer, despite impressive assist totals.

Scouts #1 & 2: "Elite" third line center, like Martin Hanzal.

25. [17,27] Zack Mashian, RW/LW (Lethbridge Hurricanes, WHL)

72 GP | 40-40-80

Huge offensive winger with impressive tools. Great wristshot and positioning. Passable defensively and likes to throw his weight around. Hockey IQ and skating need improvement to maximize potential.

Scout #1: Top-6 winger, more talented version of Nick Palmieri.

Scout #2: Third line winger, like Tomas Kubalik.

26. [51,126] Rudolf Kucera, RD (HC Topolcany, Svk-2)

44 GP | 10-26-36

After jumping around all over the rankings, Kucera rose tremendously in the last half of the season to finish in the first round. Big, strong and an incredible skater. Physical defensive defenseman with a solid point shot. Upside is questionable among some scouts.

Scout #1: Top-4 defenseman, a bigger P.K. Subban

Scout #2: Bottom pairing defenseman, poor man's Brooks Orpik.

27. [21,22] John Marston, RD/RW (Swift Current Broncos, WHL)

67 GP | 7-19-26

Gigantic defensive defenseman with a good head for the game. Decent passer and may have a bit of untapped offensive potential. Skating is average at best and he doesn't use his big frame enough.

Scouts #1 & 2: Bottom-4 defenseman, better version of Kent Huskins.

28. [19,21] Danil Fedorchenko, RW (Barys, KHL)

Well-rounded winger with fantastic skating ability. Hard worker with good positioning. Quite raw and hockey IQ is average. Could have used more development time before being thrown into professional hockey, which may hurt his long-term upside.

Scouts #1 & 2: Third line winger, poor man's T.J. Oshie.

29. [125,31] Dmitry Musselman, LW/C (Gatineau Olympiques, QMJHL)

70 GP | 30-44-74

Late-bloomer who really impressed in his rookie season with Gatineau. Big, strong, speedy winger who will likely make a permanent move to center due to his great faceoff ability. Strong two-way player who uses his body effectively. Hockey IQ is just average.

Scout #1: Second line forward, like R.J. Umberger.

Scout #2: Third line forward, like Taylor Pyatt.

30. [24,23] Curtis Laser, LW/RW (St. Albert Steel, AJHL)

60 GP | 44-66-110

Huge winger with very impressive offensive tools. Decent skater and above average hockey IQ. Nearly useless defensively. Will likely fall due to lack of exposure, though Laser could be a huge steal for anyone picking in the 20-30 range.

Scouts #1 & 2: First line forward, like Dany Heatley.

39. [25,30] Dos Wiqoulius, LW/RW (Färjestad J20, S20-1)

35 GP | 12-14-26

Gigantic, physical power forward with well-rounded ability. Decent skater and average hockey IQ. Some scouts see him panning out as a scoring forward, but a more likely projection is as a checking forward with jam.

Scout #1: First line forward, bigger, better version of Milan Lucic.

Scout #2: Third line forward, bigger but less talented version of Milan Lucic.

51. [32,41] Schnitinfritz Jagr, RD/LD (Hamburg Crocodiles, Ger-3)

38 GP | 10-20-30

Huge defensive defenseman with amazing positioning. Above-average hockey IQ. Horrid skating and no offensive upside. Has NHL potential but needs to be paired with a quicker defenseman or his pairing will be victimized.

Scout #1: Bottom pairing defenseman, a slower Adam McQuaid.

Scout #2: Reserve/AHL defenseman, a poor man's Adam McQuaid but slower.

58. [71,63] Cade Stevens, RD/LD (Kootenay Ice, WHL)

72 GP | 17-35-52

Speedy offensive defenseman who thinks the game at an incredibly high level. Hard working and makes creative plays with the puck. Defensive game is coming around but he appears to have peaked early. Not much room left to grow.

Scouts #1 & 2: Bottom pairing defenseman, poor man's Dan Boyle.

182. [137,157] Viktor Kovalevsky, RW/LW (Cowichan Valley Capitals, BCHL)

60 GP | 33-31-64

Big winger with a deadly wristshot and impressive stickhandling skills. Average skating, hockey IQ and defensive play. Hasn't developed much at all in the last couple years and may have reached his potential already.

Scout #1: Fourth line winger, like Nick Palmieri.

Scout #2: Reserve/AHL winger, poor man's Nick Palmieri.
