Jan Bulis cuts Denis Solokov's artery in KHL

Recommended Posts

We all remember Bulis as the guy who liked to jump on other players in his day with the Canucks. Well, he's still doing it in the KHL with Traktor Chelyabink, and this time his jumping shenanigans cut a player's artery.

I warn the more squeamish of you that there is bleeding going down in this clip. At about the 1:15 mark, Denis Solokov of Yekaterinburg Automobilist falls down after bumping with Bulis, and as ol' Janny tries to hop over him his skate cut the d-man's carotid artery.

Solokov got off the ice under his own power, and is doing much better now. He expects to play again in a week.

This is only the 3rd incident in pro hockey where I've heard of players getting arteries cut open by skates...amazing and fortunate it doesn't happen often.5
