SOB for MVP

Recommended Posts

^ Understand where you are coming from.

I don't know how many times I have had to switch up lines to find some chemistry.

Arguably I have one of the better farm rosters on paper, but for some reason majority of the games have been low scoring and with one or two goal deficits.

There is absolutely no reason why the Admirals shouldn't be potting 5 or 6 goals a game.

My 3rd line is better than most 1st lines out there.....that's what frustrates me.

I've been so frustrated with this league. I have put in a ton of effort, trying to build to best possible roster. Having players underacheive, not clicking, not going far, is just frustrating. Examples..

Alexander Ovechkin

83 pts in 103 games with Washington...

94 pts in 94 games with Anaheim...

Alexander Semin

38 pts in 62gp with Washington...

82 pts in 79gp with Anaheim...

22 pts in 29gp with Tampa Bay...

Mike Green

6 pts in 34gp with Washington...

103 pts in 131gp with Toronto...

Ryan Getzlaf

87 pts in 82gp with Anaheim...

22 pts in 45gp with Washington...

33 pts in 47gp with Pittsburgh...

Jeff Carter

78 pts in 82gp with Boston...

26 pts in 44gp with Washington..

30 pts in 30gp with Pittsburgh...

James Neal

59 pts in 78gp with Pittsburgh...

5 pts (0 goals) in 16gp with Washington...

27 pts in 29gp with Islanders...

Sergei Gonchar

116 pts in 154gp with Ottawa...

9 pts in 31gp with Washington...

Dustin Brown and Logan Couture have been pretty big busts too..

Now I got Corey Perry sucking with 18 pts in 31gp...

I never get that dominate point per game player ever... My guys have been decent at best.

Year one: Leading scorer Ovechkin with 70 pts..

Year two: Leading scorer Datsyuk with 66 pts..

Year three: Backstrom point per game so far...

It's annoying... I look across the league, and match up my players agaisnt others, and they are doing much better...

Mikael Granlund vs Nicklas Backstrom

Granlund: 80 PA / 78 SC

31gp: 11g/21a/32pts

Backstrom: 89 PA / 85 SC

31gp: 11g/20a/31pts

Scott Gomez vs Pavel Datsyuk

Gomez: 86 PA / 68 SC

31gp: 14g/18a/32pts

Datsyuk: 94 PA / 84 SC

31gp: 11g/13a/24pts

Marian Hossa vs Alex Tanguay

Tanguay: 81 PA / 72 SC

31gp: 10g/18a/28pts

Hossa: 84 PA / 88 SC

30gp: 8g/15a/23pts

Pierre-Marc Bouchard vs Patrick Kane

Bouchard: 77 PA / 76 SC

31gp: 9g/18a/27pts

Kane: 88 PA / 85 SC

30gp: 13g/10a/23pts

Brad Boyes vs Corey Perry

Boyes: 73 PA / 77 SC

31gp: 6g/11a/17pts

Perry: 82 PA / 92 SC

31gp: 12g/6a/18pts

I just don't get it. Countless amount of line combos, changed up strategies, I even copied top teams strategies and such with no result.

Now your wondering why I'm complaining when I'm 4th in the league, and 2nd in the conference, well I'm only 4 pts away from being out of the playoffs, but I'm more concerned on getting my players to produce. The only reason my team does well is depth + Vokoun.

Guys like Gionta, Gagne, Doan are teaing up the league, I simply want my players to play to there potential...

STHS is overrated, great concept, but this engine needs a lot of work. Not calling out SOB, more so Simon, the creator of the game...

If anyone has any line-up advice let me know...

Lol, I brought this up a few days ago. I've tried real hard to put up a roster like this from an original Minnesota Wild team.

Simon Gagne - Mikko Koivu [C] - Ryan Callahan

Mike Cammlleri - Tim Connolly - Patrick Sharp

Chriz Kunitz - Dominic Moore - Anthony Stewart

David Moss - Brandon Prust - Nick Johnson

Shea Weber - Marek Zidlicky [A]

Zbynek Michalek - Joe Corvo

Hal Gill - Kent Huskins

Jaroslav Halak

Chris Mason

Yet, I'm 4th last in the conference. I think this is the only game other than RGMG I have actually put a lot of effort into to build a contender, but after trying so hard and getting no results that's when you start to lose interest imo.,
