Lui's Knob
Source - Twitter feed News1130 Updated - as per TSN - Mullen and Ebbett also on waiversWould make sense since these players are AHL bound to start the season anyways but the timing....perhaps open more salary for Doan??? nd84
As per @TSNBobMcKenzie, add Mullen and Ebbett to that list
goalie13
It does make sense for bubble players to continue to develop in the AHL while the labour dispute drags on. I heard somewhere that the NHL plans on relaxing the recall rule so teams can bring back those players without risking losing them. I am certain this has nothing to do with Doan though. TOMapleLaughs
'Proved himself' how? By being on the shelf for most of last season? By being used for zero minutes in the playoffs? Or by being a minor-league talent? Your 'sixth-sense' seems a bit off here.

TOMapleLaughs
Kassian didn't play in the playoffs? News to me. Oh snap, i only needed to use 1 of my senses to find out that he did.

zombieksa
Okay children relax... Anyways, even though they were put on waivers they are allowed to be in Training Camp, right? (if, of course, it takes place)

TOMapleLaughs
Let's just say that Volpatti 'going to camp' doesn't make him a threat to be picked off of waivers, m'kay? He is a scrub. A bottom-6 job for him is far from guaranteed. You don't need to be gm or coach to figure that out.
TOMapleLaughs
All moot anyway as the season likely won't start on time.

TOMapleLaughs
Extremely bored. Not looking forward to a lockout. If it is announced, the progression from 'nutty' to 'institutionalized' will begin. Yay?

Sharpshooter
Surprised about Joslin.
Ossi Vaananen
I don't think Joslin, Mullen or Gordon would have made the team anyway. Desbiens was a long shot too. This is a better deal for the players as they can still rake in pay checks in the minors while players on one ways are out of work for as long as the lockout goes.
